17th March Written Update

Lalaji says that to ensure the welfare of the shop, they will get a hand imprint of Chandni on the wall. Everyone cheers as Chandni does the hand imprint. Lalaji says that from now on this will happen on her every birthday.

Later...

The wall is shown with several handprints and the family urge a young Chandni to make the imprint. Chandni says that she will only do it after Lalaji arrives. Lalaji arrives and Chandni smiles as she rushes to him. He helps her make the hand imprint as everyone claps. Chandni is shown feeding mithai to the whole family.

Later...

The whole house is being decorated with balloons whilst Chandni rushes away from everyone and refuses to change. Shashi brings a suit that she made and everyone says that it looks beautiful. Chandni refuses to wear it as she insists on wearing a shirt. Kusum promises to get her a shirt tomorrow but she stubbornly says that she wants to wear a shirt today. Kusum goes to slap her but Lalaji warns her not to slap Chandni.

Lalaji convinces Chandni to wear the suit Shashi made. Shashi says that she will only because Lalaji said so. Lalaji is happy and asks her what she wants for her buirthday. Chandni replies that today no-one will go out of the house but instead the day with her. Banwari comes with the keys but Llaji tells him to put them away as the shop will not open today.

Chandni comes down wearing the dress.

Later Kusum is shown putting Chandni to sleep as she sings Mere Ghar Aaye Ek Nanhi Pari. Lalaji comes with a thread to ward of everyone's evil eye and ties it on Chandni. After he leaves, Kishan comments on how Chandni has brought everyone even closer. He tells Kusum that he has organised her admission in to the best school.

Morning...

Kishan can't find the admission forms for school. Guneeta says that Lalaji had gone in to his room in the morning and they realise that it was Lalaji who took the forms. Lalaji comes home and Guneeta puts her hand forward asking for the forms. Lalaji tries to get out of it but Guneeta says that if he doesn't have them then he has to swear on them.

Lalaji finally gives in and says that he doesn't want to send Chandni to school yet. Everyone is shocked.
