Wa alaikum Assalm Warahmatullahi Wabarkatuh

if not fasting you can do the above way you are quoting but while fast it is not allowed to pull the water hard inside with reference of Hadith of Liqit bin Sabrah

Ab Hurayrah (May Allah be pleased with Him) relates that Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him) said: "Perform your ablutions thoroughly, running your fingers through each other, and inhaling the water deeply unless you are fasting."
This hadth is related in Sunan al-Tirmidh, Sunan Ab Dwd, Sunan al-Nas' al-Kubr, Sunan Ibn Mjah, Sahh Ibn Khuzaymah, Mustadrak al-Hkim and Musnad Ahmad, among other sources.

It is an authentic hadth. It has been determined to be authentic by a number of hadth authorities. Al-Tirmidh declared it "a good and authentic hadth". [Snan al-Tirmidh (3/129)] It has also been authenticated by Ibn Khuzaymah, Ibn Hibbn, al-Hkim, al-Baghawi, al-Nawaw, Ibn al-Mulaqqin, Ibn Hajar al-'Asqalni, and others.

The meaning of the hadth:

The story behind this hadth is that Laqt b. Sabirah
(May Allah be pleased with Him) came to the Prophet (peace be upon him) as part of the delegation from the tribe of Ban Muntafiq and asked him about how to perform wud'. The Prophet (peace be upon him) replied by making this statement. [Sunan Ab Dwd (142)]

Inhaling the water deeply means to do so until it reaches the very back of the nasal cavity.
