Deepavali ke is shubh avsar per, sabhi ko shubh kamnaye. Khushi ke is mahaul mein sabhi ko shamil karke dher saari khushiyan bantiye.

It's the time of the year for the near and dear to come together to rejoice and exchange gifts and sweets to mark this festival which commemorates the victory of good over evil. There are several legends associated with this festival. Prominent among them are the coronation of Lord Ram on his return to Ayodhya after vanquishing Ravana and Lord Krishna's slaying of the demon Narakasura. It is also a day when Goddess Lakshmi, the deity of wealth and prosperity, showers blessings. The evening also sees youngsters and children lighting up the skies with fireworks and crackers.

Darkness represents ignorance, and light is a metaphor for knowledge. Therefore, lighting a lamp symbolizes the destruction, through knowledge, of all negative forces- wickedness, violence, lust, anger, envy, greed, bigotry, fear, injustice, oppression and suffering.....
