Katelyn, can you make a siggy 500x250 for our team and other members to use for the anniversary celebration? We'll use it in our siggy dabba..

Stuti, I was thinking, this time instead of one person posting everything in the thread we should divide different posts.

Like you post the Main post. Raji can post the Brief Story, Bhavi Characters, Kadyn - Ek Jashn Hinna Arshi scene/special moments.. I can post the end credit.

What do you think?

Well... we were actually planning to use the Organisers account to post the thread... so that Raji and I both can do the compiling, editing, etc together and the pressure to post it on time is not on a single person. Also, the section for Special moments is actually going to display the entries from "A Picture Speaks" contest... which are in the Organisers account PMs.. so it would be easier to copy / paste from there directly.

Nevertheless, if we want to do it this way, I'm up for that too. What do the others think?

Akash Singh Raizada — The Unsung Gentleman of Shantivan

In a house full of powerful personalities and high emotions, Akash was the quiet strength — the voice of calm in the storm. He never needed to shout to be heard, nor fight to prove his loyalty. With his quiet dignity and unwavering values, he held his place with quiet pride.

"Main chahta hoon sab khush rahein... sab kuch theek ho jaaye."

Simple words, yet so full of heart — just like him.

Akash was more than Arnav’s cousin — he was his brother, his confidant, and often, his voice of reason. He stood by Arnav during business battles and emotional storms, always offering support without demanding the spotlight.

When family tensions rose, Akash became the bridge — never biased, always balanced. His heart was gentle, but when it came to standing up for what was right, he didn’t waver.

"Main janta hoon ki maine aap sabko dukh pahunchaya hai... lekin main apne faisle par sharminda nahi hoon."

These words reflected not just his integrity, but his quiet courage — the ability to make difficult choices and own them.

He wasn’t dramatic, but he was dependable. He didn’t seek attention, but he earned respect. And while his love story may not have been full of intensity, his sincerity made it beautiful.

Akash Singh Raizada taught us that goodness isn’t boring — it’s brave. That being calm doesn’t mean being weak. And that sometimes, the strongest pillars are the ones standing silently in the background.

Payal Gupta Raizada — The Grace That Spoke Without Words

In the chaos of drama, betrayal, and heartbreak, Payal stood like a calm breeze gentle, composed, yet unshakable in her strength.

She wasn’t loud. She wasn’t fiery. But she was brave in her own silent way. A daughter who carried the weight of responsibility, a sister who always protected Khushi like a second mother, and a wife who navigated her new life with patience and grace.

"Khushi se juda har dard, har khushi mere liye bhi utni hi ahmiyat rakhti hai."

Because for Payal, family wasn’t just a bond it was a promise. A duty. A love that didn’t need words.

She may not have had a dramatic entry or a whirlwind romance, but her story mattered. Her struggles were real. She faced humiliation, heartbreak, and silent tears — yet she never lashed out. Never gave up. She chose dignity over drama, every single time.

As the eldest daughter of the Gupta family, Payal had dreams — but she always put others first. When her past threatened her present, she didn’t hide, she stood tall. When misunderstandings clouded her marriage, she endured — not out of weakness, but out of belief that love, eventually, finds its way.

"Main chahti hoon ki sab kuch theek ho... sab ke beech ke faasle kam ho jaayein."

Because that’s who she was — a quiet healer in a world full of wounds.

Payal reminded us that not all heroines scream or fight. Some simply stay — and that takes a different kind of courage.

She was the soft voice in the background, the quiet support system, the unshakeable elder sister — and Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon wouldn’t have been complete without her steady presence.

Nand Kishore (NK) — The Sunshine of Shantivan

In a house full of intense emotions and layered secrets, NK walked in like a breath of fresh air bringing along his lovable Hindi, his radiant smile, and a heart as golden as his intentions.

He wasn’t just comic relief. He was comfort. A friend who stood by Khushi when no one else believed her, a cousin who added lightness to Arnav’s world, and a soul who saw people for who they really were beyond pretenses and pride.

"Hum toh bas yeh samajhte hain ki galat, galat hota hai... chahe koi bhi kare."

This line wasn’t just dialogue — it was NK’s core. Fearless, honest, and kind.

He may have fumbled with Hindi, but he never fumbled when it came to doing the right thing. Whether it was standing with Khushi against Shyam’s manipulations or cheering up the family in dark times, NK always chose truth and loyalty.

"Nanav! Tension not yaar!"

Who else could call Arnav Singh Raizada Nanav and live to tell the tale? Their bromance was iconic built on teasing, trust, and genuine affection.

In the most complicated moments, NK brought simplicity. In the most painful times, he brought laughter. And in the moments when others hesitated to speak, he spoke for what was right.

He may not have been in every scene, but every time he appeared, he brought light with him. A character who reminded us that goodness doesn't have to be dramatic to be powerful.

NK wasn’t just the "cool NRI cousin" he was family in every true sense of the word. He saw hearts clearly, even when others were blinded by appearances.

Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon wouldn't have been the same without his "Tension not, yaar!" and without the heart behind that smile.

Hi Girls,

Here are the write ups for the four characters I have chosen.

Thank you so much for making graphics for them.smiley31

Manohar:

Manohar, father of Aakash, uncle of Arnav and Anjali, son of Devyani, husband of Manorama and most importantly brother of Ratna, is a calm, understanding and ever so loving and caring individual. We did not get a chance to see his relationship with Ratna, but his love for his nephew and niece is a testament of his love for his sister Ratna. Manohar never differentiated between his own son and his sister's children. When Arnav started AR, Manohar delegated himself to look after the inter-city operations leaving Arnav to expand the business globally and later he started looking after the overseas operations as well. He welcomed Khushi and Payal into the house with open hands and made them a part of his family unlike his wife who continued calling them Gupta sisters.

Sashi:

Sashi is a character who was loved the most in the show after the leads. He is the best brother, husband, father and most importantly foster parent. He respected his sister and at the same time did no shy away from questioning her when she was too imposing or intimidating. He loved his wife dearly and understood her predicament when it came to her past affair with senior Malik. He was on his guard, when it was time to look for grooms for Khushi and Payal. He might have a made wrong decision at the time of Payal's first wedding, but I am sure he would have realised sooner than later. Arnav's entry in Khushi's life changed all that. Shyam's attack on Shashi to keep him quiet is the most heart wrenching moment in the show. Even when he could not say a word and could not move his limbs, he tried his best to convey his feelings through facial expressions. Alas the family paid more attention to Shyam's explanations than Shashi's expressions.

Sahshi's love for Khushi needs a special mention. Khushi was neither his biological daughter nor his step daughter. She wasn't even related to him. She was Garima's sister's daughter and Shashi not only adopted her on Garima's request when her parents died, but also loved and cared for her as much as he loved and cared for his own daughter Payal. He loved Khushi a bit more because she is the youngest and within no time became an apple of his eye. His love and upbringing made Khushi strong and independent.

Garima:

Garima became a mother to two beautiful and caring daughters without giving birth to either of them. She showered unconditional love on both of them.

When her husband was showring love on Khushi, she tried to be a bit stricter with Khushi. The respect for Shashi for marrying her made her care for Payal a bit more. She unknowingly relied on Khushi and never hesitated to share her problems with Khushi and depended on her at the time need. I wish we had seen a stronger Garima throughout the show not just at the beginning.

Aman:

What can we say about Aman! He is ever so invisible, ever so reliable and always present on the phone. Arnav had more conversations with him on the phone than in person. It is amazing to see how he became a part of the show and important part of many Fan Fictions. He annoyed viewers by calling Arnav when he was having an intense moment with Khushi. He also became a cupid when Arnav and Khushi were not talking to each other. He became courier boy when Arnav needed to buy gifts for Khushi. Well, some of them back fired on Arnav, that is a different story. It wasn't Aman's fault though. Aman and his almost invisibility was a special feature of our show.
