Very often, we forget to thank the people around us for all those many little things they've done for us. Behind every achievement, every successful person, there is so many people's contribution involved, a lot of which goes unacknowledged. On the occasion of Thanksgiving, we'd like to thank some of these wonderful people around us who've built us into who we are today.

Parents are perhaps the most amazing people we'll ever come across in our entire lives. The whole world may be at war with you but you'll always have those two beautiful people standing beside you, assuring you that it'll be okay. So to all the parents out there, thank you for being our guardian angels. Also, thanks for putting up with all those endless tantrums! :p

A lot of us probably have beautiful memories from childhood of our grandparents walking us back home from school, holding our hands, listening to all our silly little anecdotes with a smile. As time goes by, we grow up and they grow older and we gradually lose the bond we shared with them as children. Sure, we do still love them but maybe we just forget to sit them down and just talk to them, to appreciate them for all that they've done for us. So today, we'd like to thank all you grandparents for having been such incredible people to us.

We've all had bad times. Sometimes, it can be a little difficult to open up to people about it, even parents. But those of us who have siblings would know, they're probably the best confidants we'd ever find. They'll sidle upto you, grab the nearest non-hazardous weapon, throw it on your face and ask, "Hey idiot, why does your face look like it's been run over by a truck?" And you just know that you can trust them to keep it a secret. But most of us usually overlook the things our siblings have done for us, probably because of how much they annoy us on a daily basis but even then, they sure do deserve their fair share of appreciation. So thank you siblings, for standing by us whenever we needed you.

There's nothing more comforting than being greeted by a wagging tail and a tongue-out happy face after a long tiring day at work. The best thing about pets is, they hardly ever need a cue, they just know when you're upset and they'll cuddle up beside you, head on your lap and stay there until you feel better. So thank you, all you adorable furballs and featherballs for being such amazing support systems.

Teachers are those incredible people who deserve so much more appreciation than they get. It's a given that we've probably had unpleasant teachers as well, along the way but we've all had at least a few amazing teachers in our lives who taught us so much more, beyond just books. So here's a little shout out to all of you wonderful teachers, thank you for being our mentors and for permeating your light in us.

Life is a huge, complex labyrinth with dark tunnels and untraversed paths. It's the people around us who help us find ourselves, walk with us hand in hand until we're strong enough to navigate through this daunting labyrinth on our own. And sometimes, sadly, in the process of helping us find ourselves, they lose their identity. Rather than leaving them behind, let's learn to walk with them and appreciate them for all that they've done for us.

A very, very happy thanksgiving to everyone on IF-land! On this grand occasion, it is time to recognize and respect all that IF has given us. It has given us friends, entertainment, and most importantly, our home here in the virtual world!

Of course, there is the ultimate, Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahi forum, where it all began! When we look today, at the enormous IF we have today, it scarcely seems possible.The credit of course, goes to Vijay Sir, and all the Moderators and the Admin of the forums.

IF today is a place we can make friends, learn, and grow. Who said virtual friends aren't friends, after all! We have had numerous ways in which IF has contributed, in no small way, to our lives. Remember that April Fools' Day prank that was played on us, where they told us all the off air shows' forums would be shut? Phew, that was scary, wasn't it?!

Almost every festival is celebrated here, on IF. New Year, Eid, Diwali, Gurpurab, you name it and IF's got it! You could be miles away from home and you'd still feel the festive vibe, thanks to IF. There are the games and contests that are held so often, that a lot of us look forward to. There are also informative threads that IF puts up that spread awareness among so many of us.

All the cricket enthusiasts out here would probably agree that IF is the best place to be during the World Cup and IPL season. The discussion threads themselves simulate a mini stadium-like experience, with all those super accurate live updates and the excitement and anxiety thick in the air. Those threads are definitely something that a lot of us are thankful for.

And then there are the awards that IF gives away. Ditch the run of the mill, IF is here to give you the best awards, ever. There are awards for shows, for forums and for people! You get to promenade around IF with your mark of victory standing tall and proud in your signature box, giving you recognition wherever you go on IF land. That sure is something we'd all appreciate, isn't it?

Best part of IF is the variety of people you meet. You meet people you like, dislike, but the whole bunch is crazy, goofy and epic.

We also have to thank IF for the other stuff. If you are not a person who watches TV (though unlikely), there are the various other places you can be in. There are places to write, read, and post other creative stuff. In short, it is the best in its league.

So, yeah, we have a truckload of things to thank IF for! There are some other really cool things you can do too. Be a part of so many teams on the forum, organize stuff and the list goes on.

Isn't it amazing that IF has done so much for us? IF's 14^th birthday is fast approaching and like we said, it barely seems possible, going back to the forum's humble beginning, with just a blog. Woohoo for the admins!

Let's thank IF for everything it has done for us, on this very special day. May the forum grow to new heights and we wish nothing but the best for IF!
