Dont feel bad. Although Diwali is wonderful in India but hey do have a blast😛. Have lots of fun, do loads of shopping and eat plenty of sweets. Dont forget to worship Goddess Laksmhi, Sarawati and Lord Ganesh. May they shower you with their blessings.

Hello all Wishing everyone at india forums a Happy diwali😛

This poem is written by an indian forum member who wants to stay anonymous 😉

The poem is written well and has touched my heart😳

Agaya Hai Phir Diwali Ka Yeh Tehwaar,

Ek Doosre Se Tum Baato Dheer Sara Pyaar,

Diwali Ke Diye Har Ghar Ghar Me Jalenge,

Tarah Tarah Ki Mithai, Khane Ko Milenge…

Patakhe Jalane ki Umr Ki Koi Seema Hi Nahi,

Ek Anaar Jalane Ke Bagair Ab Hame Rehna Hi Nahi,

Aasmaan Mein Rocket Hum Bohat Chodenge,

Awaaz Wale Aur Bina Awaaz Ke Hum Phodenge…

Saare Roshan Diye Chehre Pe Muskaan Layenge,

Dil Me Kisi Ke Liye Jo Bhi Gile The Khud Mit Jayege,

Apne Haath Ho Aag Ke Sholao Se Bachakar Rakhna ,

Apne Daman Par Daag Lagne Se Tum Bacha Rakhna…

Forum Mein Bhi Kai Chere Yahaan Muskurainge,

Saare Gham Ko Hum Ek Pal Mein Hum Mitainge,

Jo Nahi Hai Hamare Saath Unki Yaad Bohat Ati Hai,

Yaadao Mein Zindagi Yuhi Kat Jaati Kat Hai Jaati Hai……

Again wish you all

Happy diwali and Eid

I think every diwali builds upon a new memory, every year you light up a new year and relationships. But I really enjoy lighting diyas, fireworks, and the festivity of it all. Going to the Temple and asking for blessings, sharing warm moments with everyone I know...are my memories from all the years of Diwali...

The brightness of lited lamps
The sweetness of mittais
The fesitivites of temples
The colors of new clothes and rangolis
The blessings of elders
The stories of Diwali
Entice, excite and make me expect Diwali every year!

I can proudly say we Indians who live in the U S await Diwali just as everyone else in India..😛

Keep smiling...
Love
Soni

Thanx for an amaing post Priya jaanu😳🤗

Diwali is celebrated in many ways here in New York. My family goes to the mandir to do pooja. We go to many diwlai parties. One is hosted by Gujju Indians in Queens and other is hosted by The Indian Diamond Color Accociation in Manhattan. I did a dance in both😳. My masi has one for our family at her house and we play with firecrackers. Loads of fun and food. I also light diyas at my home. Diwali is always celebrated at my house.
