Once upon a time, there lived a man called Kris Kringle. Fondly, he was called by many names such as Santa Claus, Saint Nicholas, Father Christmas and so on. Father Christmas is a figure with legendary and historical origins, who is believed to bring gifts and sweets for children on the Christmas eve - 24th December. The belief runs in various cultures and traditions and especially those in the western countries.
Santa Claus is generally illustrated as a joyous man with white beard and a red coat with white collar and cuffs. Black belt and long boots, Santa is depicted a man with a bag full of gifts hanging on his shoulder. This image of Santa was first came into being in United States and Canada in the 19th century due to the significant influence of the poem named "A Visit From St. Nicholas" which was written in 1823.
