Once upon a time, there lived a man called Kris Kringle. Fondly, he was called by many names such as Santa Claus, Saint Nicholas, Father Christmas and so on. Father Christmas is a figure with legendary and historical origins, who is believed to bring gifts and sweets for children on the Christmas eve - 24th December. The belief runs in various cultures and traditions and especially those in the western countries.

Santa Claus is generally illustrated as a joyous man with white beard and a red coat with white collar and cuffs. Black belt and long boots, Santa is depicted a man with a bag full of gifts hanging on his shoulder. This image of Santa was first came into being in United States and Canada in the 19th century due to the significant influence of the poem named "A Visit From St. Nicholas" which was written in 1823.

It is such a joyful job to distribute happiness in the world, isn't it? We all like gifts and presents. We all love being pampered and spoilt by sweets and delicacies during the festive season! Like Santa brings smiles to millions of children around the world, wouldn't you like to spread the happiness? Crazy Creatives bring the chance to spread happiness in the world -

This festive season is not just about giving. It's also about receiving and that is not necessarily a bad thing. Receiving a thoughtful gift can be a blessing in disguise. A personalised photo frame or a branded perfume, the extra effort made to select a gift can touch the coldest of the heart with its warmth. A gift can change a person's lives if chosen with the care and affection.

What a wonderful post! Remember its always better to give than receive! I usually feed the homeless around this time. Its very easy to get wrapped for making for the family but what about the unfortunate ones that won't be getting a gift or have a holiday meal on their table?

Please remember to appreciate and be content with what you have!

Never got to see Christmas celebrations around me but as I am moving to US, I will be to see how people celebrate it, what do they cook, or wear or decorate etc etc. I am a Muslim so obviously I am not allowed to celebrate it but sharing happiness never harms any one, right?

I feel happy with vacations approaching, so I would do this.

What change would you bring in the world if you were to be a Santa for a day?
Santa or not, I'd like to take down door bells.

What is the one thing that would be the best gift you'd give to your friends/family and why?
My breakup with procrastination and general nonchalance would make my family really happy.

What was that one gift that made you feel special and what significant did it have in your life?
My sister's given me cards on various celebratory and non-celebratory occasions.
All hand made. With things spelled wrong and scratched a few times. And full of doodles.
Them, and a few more little handicrafts she has given me; I shall always keep them close and safe.
