Salam Nameste Friends, and that time of the year is here again!! What time of the year you may ask? The time where most of India and some other parts of the world will come together to celebrate the festivities of Navratri.

Naach gaane sab hoga!! So why leave the members of India Forums out of these fun filled festivities. This year Navratri kicks off on Tuesday October 16th and will go for nine days!!! Who's excited for some rocking Garba & Dandiya?!!

What is Navratri all about you may ask? Well that's what we're here to tell you about!! Navratri is a very important Hindu festival celebrated in India, which is devoted to Goddess Durga. The festival is celebrated with great reverence and faith across the country. It stretches over a period of nine days, with each of the nine days being dedicated to one of the nine forms of the Goddess. Talking about the history of Navratri festival, it can be explained through the stories mentioned in the Hindu scriptures. The history of this festival varies from region to region.

Navratri is a festival of many vibrant colors. The cuture of India is shown through the beautiful outfits that are worn by both the ladies and the guys. The colors of India can be seen through them. It is a festival of noise,fun, entertainment, and pure happiness.

The crowds go crazy! It is such so much fun dancing and going crazy all night! A night of chaos is what Navratri brings every year! So much fun & games, so much interaction, & so many cute/hot guys & girls every year 😆.

Activity Galore

Dear IFians, S.U.R.P.R.I.S.E!!!

During this Navratri Season, the Crazies have come up with nine different activities, one per day, to help you unravel IF'S MAKESHIFT and the MIGHTY, MAHISHASURA!!!! NOT ONE BUT FOUR!!!!

Folks, don't fret! They are the most nicest Mahishashasura, who have been turned into demons for the next nine days 😳! It's in your hands to find them by day nine and turn them back to real being 😲!

What do you have to do? you may ask! Well, here is a list of small activities you get to do on a daily basis for the next nine days. All participants who successfully complete the tasks on a daily basis will get a clue about each of the four demons via PM at the end of the day.

DAY ONE - BRAVERY - Name one individual whom you consider as your role model, who displayed an act of bravery for a good cause! It must be based on a real incident! Few sentences only!

DAY TWO - BRAVERY - Write a caption for the picture provided by Crazy Creatives. The picture will be posted, on the 17th of October, 12.00 am, IST.

NOTE: Please refrain from providing any demeaning statement to hurt the sentiments of others.

DAY THREE - BRAVERY - Come up with your own QUOTATION about bravery!

DAY FOUR - WEALTH - How would you define wealth.

DAY FIVE - WEALTH - Come up with five POSITIVE ways to become wealthy, that you would follow.

DAY SIX - WEALTH - What is your wealthiest possession on India-forums.com. Describe why?

DAY SEVEN - EDUCATION - Describe some funny incidents from your childhood days in school!

DAY EIGHT - EDUCATION - What is your most favorite subject and how much do you value education?

DAY NINE - EDUCATION - In today's world, do you feel that a good education is necessary to lead a successful life?

Friends, during this Navratri season, we invite all members of India-forums.com to join us in celebrating the event for the next nine days by taking part in each of the activities (which would merely take 2 - 3 minutes a day) and then in finding who the four Mahishasura are at the end of Day 9 using all 9 clues that get sent to your Inbox after you complete the days' tasks. PLEASE NOTE: this is a fun-filled activity and is to be taken lightly! We kindly request every member to refrain from indulging in any activities that are offensive in this thread. Thank you!
