After Gandhi-Ji's death the first prime minister of India Jawahar Lal Nehru spoke to the entire nations through All India Radio after this in humane act of violence and in his speech he said:

"The light has gone out, I said, and yet I was wrong. For the light that shone in this country was no ordinary light. The light that has illumined this country for these many years will illumine this country for many more years, and a thousand years later that light will still be seen in this country, and the world will see it and it will give solace to innumerable hearts. For that light represented the living truth ... the eternal truths, reminding us of the right path, drawing us from error, taking this ancient country to freedom."

Regardless of what had happened to Gandhi. Gandhi taught us to be strong, truthful and humane people. He once said

"Strength does not come from winning it. Your struggles develop your strengths. When you go through hardships and decide not to surrender, that is strength"

Gandhi may have struggled in his life but all of that did NOT go in vain. He wanted friendship amongst all the religions and even today his teachings are there as a guidance for peace and harmony in the world.

Here at India-Forums we salute him and his teachings.

In remembrance of Gandhi we would all appreciate it if you could post a quote or something about Gandhi that reminds you of him

Awesome post CCs!
Salute to Father of the Nation😊
I have always been inspired by his quotes & sayings. Even I have read his book "The Story of my Experiments with Truth". I would suggest that everyone should read once if got a chance.
Here are some of his thoughts---

It is difficult but not impossible to conduct strictly honest business. . . . What
is true is that honesty is incompatible with the amassing of a large fortune.

It is better to be violent, if there is violence in our hearts,
than to put on the cloak of nonviolence to cover impotence.

There is a sufficiency in the world for man's need
but not for man's greed.

There's more to life than increasing its speed.
The weak can never forgive. Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong.
Jai Hind!😃

Awesome post...

Salute to the Father of Nation ...

Gandhi's Words :

The history of the world is full of men who rose to leadership, by sheer force of self-confidence, bravery and tenacity.

Learn as if you were going to live forever. Live as if you were going to die tomorrow

Earth provides enough to satisfy every man's need, but not every man's greed

Salutes to the father of the nation.

The man had shown a different way of Fighting for your cause. One of the most inspiring figures of the world.

I feel sad to see the kind of extreme hatred he receives...do not agree to his ways or ideas but atleast respect the contribution.I do not like some his deeds myself but respect him for all the good he had done :-)

Thanks for the Post :)
