IPKKND is being rerun on star plus in afternoon these days and whenever I catch a glimpse of it I don't feel any excitement and looking at the clothes make me want to change the channel. I am not at all being biased but MHRW will have rewatch factor value at least for majority of its episodes. Raghav wasn't an angry man just to follow the trend of itv ml. He had a well described past to give justification to his issues and pallavi wasn't always shown as sunshine girl. The RR bgm will still look cool after 10 years from now and pallavi saree will still be fashionable. The only thing this show got wrong was they never utilised the chemistry of its lead pair and overdose of third angles and giving much more importance to side characters than necessary

100% agree. I can’t watch IPKKND without cringing. I think I rewatched it briefly, YEARSSSSSS, ago. But it does not have the timeless factor that MHRW does.

I have a feeling that the entire barsi set up was for Pallavi to catch Esha. Esha slipping up that Pallavi heard her and Sunny talking, Esha calling up a Pandit so quick, as if she knew that Pallavi won't call. Pallavi can now join the dots with ease. Pallavi trapping Sunny-Esha could be a nice twist, since people are bored and irritated with Sunny-Esha

b: Exactly. If their target audience is housewives, it still doesn't make sense to expect high ratings from any shows airing before 8pm. I've seen in my family and around that these folks hardly get the time to catch anything that airs during the day/afternoon because of their family commitments and household chores. Many folks don't even manage to turn on their TV until the whole family has gone to bed. Ratings matter for other industries too (I know it does for Turkish series) but it's not as bad as it's for mainstream ITV.

Yeah ratings for sure matter. I was really referring to airing shows before prime time. Do Turkish shows air before 8pm? I’ve only watched a few but from the promos - it didn’t seem like it. I can’t think of any other tv industry that airs their main shows prior to 8pm.

RR Mansion is the best set I've ever seen on ITV, including EK's big budget shows. The look and the feel of the whole place pre- and post-marriage is just ❤️

Yup. I think IPKKND set was good in its bubble and in the first few months. However, when they started to show more ASR mansion stories, it was obvious that Anjali’s room was Arnavs. And there was even a burn mark on the rug after one episode that never went away. Essentially it went downhill quick. LOL.

MHRW sk room and rp is the same. They used to go upstairs to allude that rp room was upstairs but they seemed to have given up on that 🤣🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️.


So all sets have issues but MHRW is def the best looking set I’ve ever seen. SP shows in general seem to have limited sets. Idk why they never make enough rooms on these sets lol.

I was watching BALH and it was clear that they weren’t using the same room to film different scenes. Kuch rang also seemed to have different rooms for different characters.

So maybe the crappy sets is just an SP thing. 🤣

Yeah, I could be wrong but the ones I've seen all had primetime slots. I don't think any sane TV industry airs their fictional shows before primetime or expects ratings from those if they do. ITV is unique and sabse hatke😳

Barun and Sanaya were asked in a recent interview about the show and why they thought it clicked with the audience. If you notice, there was a sharp increase in TV shows following that same pattern after IPK's success. The writing of these characters might have been good but Sai and Shivangi have made Raghav and Pallavi extraordinarily remarkable. I've spent more than half my life watching ITV and I've never rewatched any of its shows as many times as I've rewatched MHRW. Like we've discussed here earlier, the problem with SS is that while he usually has better plots and some originality, he doesn't know how to follow through his own story after a point. I'm assuming that all the criticism from the fans didn't help the matter either because it might've just made him more willing to get done with the show and move on.

I always feel that audience are quite harsh on producers/directors. Majority of us do not work in entertainment industry, so naturally we don't know how exactly things work on ground level. However, at times, we pass judgements as if we know everything. At this point, criticism is no longer constructive.

At times, its like saying, if you are programmer you should know everything from hacking Facebook to repairing PCs
