BTW, yesterday did Pallavi mention anywhere that she overheard Sunny-Esha talking about Amma's birthday? Esha mentions that it was because of them talking that Pallavi misunderstood. Ab agar yeh dono aapas me baat kar rahe the toh inko kaise pata ki Pallavi inki baate sun rahi hai. This is going to be her Eureka moment soon that Esha is behind all kaand.

The scene went exactly like I had predicted 🤣

I despised Khushi’s suits. And yes ASR only had two suits. I feel like in the end Barun started to wear his own clothes 🤣. The only person who dressed nicely was Di and I heard it was because she used her own money to fund her costumes.


In MHRW at least we got decent clothes. I like PRRs sarees more than PD saree look (Except the silk/satin ones.. Loved the those). And I liked a majority of RR’s suits. Also in comparison to other shows, their outfits weren’t too OTT or inappropriate for the scenes.

A very unpopular opinion

IPKKND is being rerun on star plus in afternoon these days and whenever I catch a glimpse of it I don't feel any excitement and looking at the clothes make me want to change the channel. Don't kill me for saying this but I find this show very average. It doesn't have rewatch value at least for me. The typical angry man and bubbly girl trope ,them forcefully marrying.

I am not at all being biased but MHRW will have rewatch factor value at least for majority of its episodes. Raghav wasn't an angry man just to follow the trend of itv ml. He had a well described past to give justification to his issues and pallavi wasn't always shown as sunshine girl. The RR bgm will still look cool after 10 years from now and pallavi saree will still be fashionable. The only thing this show got wrong was they never utilised the chemistry of its lead pair and overdose of third angles and giving much more importance to side characters than necessary

At the end of the day it’s a business. The creatives who run the show are not the ones looking at the #s and profit margins. If the audience doesn’t care to tune into a show, then there’s no point in keeping it around from a business standpoint.

Tbh itv biggest issue is that they expect trps to come in for any show before 8pm. It logically doesn’t make sense. Even if all they’re relying on are housewives - these housewives do work daily. They don’t have THAT much free time. People make dinner and come home from work between 5-7pm,don’t they? They’re literally shooting themselves in the foot if they think they’re going to make any money off of non prime time shows.

I don’t think any other major tv industry does this.

The only show that runs daily that I know of are American soap operas and they run in the day time - not in the evening. And that’s a dying industry here.

I remember IPKKND days too--it had such a crazy following and similar to MHRW, the TRPs weren't always as massive as its contemporaries.

b: Exactly. If their target audience is housewives, it still doesn't make sense to expect high ratings from any shows airing before 8pm. I've seen in my family and around that these folks hardly get the time to catch anything that airs during the day/afternoon because of their family commitments and household chores. Many folks don't even manage to turn on their TV until the whole family has gone to bed. Ratings matter for other industries too (I know it does for Turkish series) but it's not as bad as it's for mainstream ITV.

Since Sickand is a small producer I do not expect that he has resources to do over the top promotion for his show.

I didn't know that! Yeah, that makes sense. I honestly love the MHRW cast's wardrobe: except in one or two cases, it's been really good overall. I find it so hard to focus on the scenes when the outfits and the makeup aren't up to the mark. It really adds to the aesthetics of the show❤️

Yup Anjali had better suits because Daljeet used her personal collection. And the set for IPK had one room which they used to change into whatever they wanted. I am so glad that here we have good costumes and everyone from Amrutha, Aayi to Jaya to Pallavi to Raghav dress so awesome. Plus the RR Mansion is so beautiful and I Love the way the PH has given a big budget feel for this show. I would say MHRW is far better compared to IPK in the aesthetics department.

Why do I feel that Pallavi anticipated something like this and to test her theory out only she suggested that she will make the sweet. Once Esha comes out with Ariselu then Pallavi will hopefully blast both Sunny and Esha for playing these games. I am so pumped up for the next episode.

Yeah Sunny and Esha talk about Amma's birthday and then Esha got the pujari. And today suddenly Sunny - Keerti fight and when Pallavi comes down her designs are gone. And tomorrow I know Esha will come out with Ariselu ka dabba. I really hope Pallavi blasts both Esha and Sunny. Somehow I feel Raghav will also connect the dots together and that will make him confess the warangal truth. I think Pallavi walking out might be to expose Esha's intentions also. Let's see.

Lol Sunaina, I used to follow IPK very diligently (it was the only desi show I watched back then) and while I liked many things, I was not/am still not okay with the manhandling and lack of redemption (but that's a common problem with most of Gul's shows). Barun and Sanaya were asked in a recent interview about the show and why they thought it clicked with the audience. Both said that the angry young man falling for the bubbly girl was a somewhat different trope back in those days. If you notice, there was a sharp increase in TV shows following that same pattern after IPK's success. Gul's followed the exact same formula for most of her other shows since then (IB, Humsafars, QH, YJHJK to name a few). It's been done so many times by now that it no longer looks as appealing (to me at least). (There are people who still love IPK and I respect that.)

Compared to that, MHRW is just different, and it's not just one thing that makes it different. SS has done the best thing ever by casting SaiShi as RaghVi because I don't think RaghVi were originally written with such nuances on paper. The writing of these characters might have been good but Sai and Shivangi have made Raghav and Pallavi extraordinarily remarkable. I've spent more than half my life watching ITV and I've never rewatched any of its shows as many times as I've rewatched MHRW. Like we've discussed here earlier, the problem with SS is that while he usually has better plots and some originality, he doesn't know how to follow through his own story after a point. I'm assuming that all the criticism from the fans didn't help the matter either because it might've just made him more willing to get done with the show and move on.
