PLOT : This is set after the finalisation of the Dasari deal. In the celebration of her husband's success Pallavi decided to throw a small party for him.

DRABBLE 9 : YOU' RE MY MOONLIGHT

Raghav had spent the last 1 hour over deciding what to wear after his wife dropped a bomb on him talking about how she wanted to celebrate even the smallest bit of his success. He does sometimes thought that the man above all of us maybe showed him some mercy when he sent her into his life like a moonlight in a dark sky. Initially in the day today he had been pretty shocked and taken aback as he saw his ex-girlfriend standing right infront of him, the same women who had made him hate the idea of any women entering his life until he met her. Esha was his past and he was so glad about it because even if their was a slight pain in his chest as soon as he saw her but one look at his wife and it got replaced with this warm feeling; the one you get when your heart's full of gratitude.

His reverie of thoughts were broken when Mr Dasari greeted him.

"Hello Mr Rao. I must say your wife has done an incredible job at this party." the man complimented him.

"Hello to you too Mr. Dasari and thank you, it's all Pallavi's work. She is the planner of all of this." Raghav smiled proudly ; something at the back of his mind mocking him of the times when he taunted her of ever fitting into a lavish life considering of her middle class status but look how she defeated him to another thought. Again.

"Hello Mr Raghav." and he heard her, the women who stopped existing to him years ago.

Raghav gave a nod to Esha acknowledging her greet and turned to Mr Dasari again in order to make some small talks when farhad walked in.

"Anna everyone is ready for you and Mr Dasari to make it official." Farhad handed him a file.

"Let Pallavi get here and then we'll do that." Raghav replied signing off a few papers.

"Pallavi isn't here yet?" Esha asked, happy that she wouldn't have to watch Raghav with the lady he moved on in his life with.

"She will be Miss Esha. She got late conducting all of this for us. My wife's extremely passionate about her work." Raghav replied with a fake smile annoyed by this women even voicing out a word.

"My daughter-in-law is the best and the most hardworking." Amma chimed in as she greeted her guests.

"But Amma everyone's asking for her. She should have been here on time." Sunny taunted walking to the group along with Kirti, who let's just say had started getting annoyed by her husband's snarky remarks towards her family.

"She will-" Raghav was about to retort back when the lights dimmed off like the night sky with only the stars sparkling and there it was, the voice of his nightingale among the whispering of the crowd.

"Thank You everyone for joining us here today in order to celebrate another victory by my husband. Raghav i can't even form words to say how proud i am of you for who you are and what you've started to become. All i wanna add is that how thankful i am to have been a part of your journey. You once asked me who is that one person who matters the most to me. It's You." her voice rang around in a beautiful melody until a bright light could be seen at the centre of the hall and there she was, his moonlight among the stars in a black gown with her hairs cascading down her back in curls and those deep honeycomb eyes underlined with black kohl looking right at him leaving him in a trance.

As she walked ahead making the entire crowd gape at her beauty swinging along the tunes of the song with the dancers around her; his heart skipped a beat like it did when he first saw her on that highway. No matter how much he denied that day but one look from her and it had been over for him somwhere in his heart; then and there.

Those slow steps were like slow poison for him as she circled around him not leaving his eyes for a moment and in no time he was on the floor with her. The music must have stopped somewhere but not his hand that unconsiously slided onto her waist like they knew their way like a map. Her eyes never leaving his for a moment; deep into him; looking right through his soul as he looked through hers and in this moment he remembered a quote she once recited to him that, 'No matter whatever their souls are made of, his and hers are the same.'

"Look at my beautiful couple. May God bless you both with every happiness in this world." Amma wished them happy like a little kid as Pallavi blushed under Raghav's intense gaze and his hand still securing on her waist. The dance had ended minutes ago but the ha;; had just started buzzing with the compliments for her.

"I thought you were trying to make me a better man but looks like you're gonna turn me into a murderer my love." Raghav whispered in her ear making her brows twitch in confusion.

"Why?" she asked distancing them from one another.

"because the way you've gathered the eyes of every man in this room, someone or the other among them is gonna be murdered tonight. by me." Raghav smirked moving closer when farhad called him out to give his speech.

Raghav stood beside Mr. Dasari as they congratulated each other and thanked everyone for joining them tonight.

"And alot of you people have asked me who my inspiration was for every work that i've done. Today i would like you all to meet her in a proper way, it's my wife, the love of my life, Mrs Pallavi Raghav Rao." Raghav spoke forwarding his hand for her to take in. Pallavi softly slided her hand into his as he made her stand beside him.

"She is the existance of Raghav Rao. The women who turned me from a monster to a human again. The one who inspired me to belive in myself again because i was worth something." he added looking at her as she smiled at him. Esha fumed at his choice of words. She had been dreaming of what it must have been if she had never left him.

"Thank You Pallavi for coming into my life and giving me a soul again. I Love You." Raghav intervined their fingers as Amma smiled at her kids.

"You make me happy Raghav, what more could i want." Pallavi replied as she gave him her bright smile while he kissed thier joined hands.

"And so today we share another news with all our well wishers present here." Raghav focused on the crowd again not forgetting to glance at his wife time and again as she gave him a nod of assurance, "We're pregnat. We'll be becoming parents soon." he added as the crowd bursted into applause and cheering. the entire family coming over to celebrate the great news while Esha stood at a safer distance watching the last string of her hope breaking down and it was then had she realised that she had never gained what she had lost years ago.

Raghav mouthed a thanks to Pallavi who was being squished by everyone after the news, well even though they had known already it was as if the news was still fresh for them. Pallavi smiled at him, happy to have a family started with a man she was thankful of living the rest of her life with. As for Raghav, maybe his time for happiness had just began.
