Thebpeople she considers FAMILY she is more her self with and i think thats whay we are seeing with her and raghav. She is normal with him.. herself. And when she is with him she can sah what she feels bindaas. But her actual family is technically not hers and she has no omr else so she also probably doesnt want to loose that.

@bold... this... no matter how much she says they are her family, at the end of the day they are her in-laws. Only Maansi, Milind, and Ayi are different but they don't have such strong voices in the family.

If only they could see the side of Pallavi that Raghav brings out, they would be shocked, as she seems like an entirely different person.

Like you said, eventhough one is or atleast tries to be textbook idealistic, the other one is a seasoned player who values idealism but knows how things work around here, both seek for acceptance and validation from their parents.. The explanation he gave as to why he helped her win the competition though unfair sounded practical and justified.. In her rage she also missed that he actually acknowledged her talent.. and the fact that given a fair chance she would have won the competition..his frustration at always being misunderstood when his intentions are to help the people he cares for, was quite palpable yesterday.. You gotta feel for Pallavi too.. and eventhough her outburst on Raghav was understandable.. I wish she could say something in her defense yesterday because her silence validates all the false accusations.. Kaku showing that cheque as her ''raat ki kamayi'' was way out of the line.. That was the moment I wished she said something even if she didnt feel the need to clarify any of the other stuff.. Things in her family are not the same as they used to be.. There's only so much Ayi can say in her defense when her own baba doesnt trust her anymore.. I can understand why she wouldnt want to explain everything threadbare infront of an outsider.. but her reason for not explaining herself infront of ayi baba who matter the most to her, could be because she has a guilt somewhere and also because maybe she has resigned to the fact that baba is not going to trust her on Raghav's issue no matter what she says.

The way I see Pallavi, she may take the time to explain things to her aayi baba if they are ready to listen. But not because she thinks they misunderstand her but because she is comfortable sharing every detail of her life with them. Even when baba is reacting the way he is, he himself didn't accuse her of having an affair, instead he is upset at her for not staying away from RR even after repeated requests from him and he cannot see a reason why she is not listening. To baba this is not the Pallu he is used to because he doesn't know the things she is actually hiding from him. His only goal at the moment is to keep Pallu away from RR...and its not because he doesn't want her to be with another guy, its because he has correctly judged RR to be bad news in Pallu's life.

I

I don't necessarily agree. I don't think she sees Mandaar's family as not her own. While I can tell my own mother that I had a wardrobe malfunction and a stranger was in my room helping me, I can't imagine telling that to my father in law or mother in law. Pallu was bindaas in admitting the real reason RR was in her room without a second of hesitation or apprehension on how they will understand it. To her they are family.

Well Stated 👏

Everyone has layers and is grey, and Sai Ketan and Shivangi are amazingly portraying those layers of Raghav and Pallavi 👏

Will be interesting to see how they grow through this journey ❤️

Right, but she has to always clear het name with them. If she told them bindaas that means shes comfortable with them but im not saying she isnt comfortable. Im sayin at the rd they are still her in laws and still the only 'family' she has. I dnt think he wants to loose that because somewhere j think she thinks or knows that she can be thrown out or treated differently because she isnt their daughter. She may not herelf feel that way towards the family but the family can always change their mind about her.

I mostly agree with you. But I think things have changed to certain extent as far as Pallavi and her equation with her family goes, and by family I mean her baba. I just feel that just the way he is losing his confidence in her, she is losing her confidence in being completely honest with them about everything because trust works both ways. She was comfortable sharing every detail of what's happening in her life, till Raghav came in.. For instance, the day she explained the reason he was in her room she was completely honest, a lil too much than necessary. But the reaction she got from baba and eversince, I think she will think twice before saying anything like that infront of him again.. and this lack of trust on her part is also coming from a certain degree of "closeness" she has had with Raghav which perhaps makes her feel a lil guilty and hesitant somwhere because she herself is not sure about what it is about him that makes her want to help him or save him..besides anger and hate that she can easily reason. For instance, when her baba asked her why she couldnt go to any of their friends and relatives in Hyderabad when there was a powercut, it was a valid point that she had no answer to..And while I agree that baba is mostly upset with her for not staying away from Raghav even if for professional reasons, I think this time he did indirectly asked her if she was having an affair with him when he asked her kya tera uske sath koi rishta hai. I personally think it'l be hard for Pallavi to go back to the kind of relationship she had with her baba where she would share anything and everything with him.. eventhough she has been hiding her shop account situation from her family albeit for a diff reason so I will not consider it same as this case..

Pallu does seem to be loosing her confidence in her relationship with Baba with each day. There was a pre 2 weeks time when she even told Aayi that she has nothing to worry about with her baba as her understands her without her having to explain anything. That same Pallu does seem a bit worried now so I agree that there is a change in the equation. But its not fair to write it off as Baba and Pallavi are not father-daughter like because there is a daraar created. This situation could easily happen to real father and daughter. I still think that Mandaar's parents treat her like their own, including getting upset with her for not listening to them and following their values. Aayi approaches it with a softer method than Baba but she too treats Pallu like a child and gets upset and angry with her when she does things that Aayi doesn't approve, like when she wanted to stay away from Mansi's wedding because of what people were saying...or trying to get her married again, when Pallu herself isn't interested. Aayi and Baba do what a typical parent would do for their child.

Loved to read the discussions here but I do believe that the Deshmukhs esp. Vijay doesn't completely treat Pallavi as his daughter! Yes, they have a pretty good bond considering they are her in-laws, but still I feel there's a lack of the unconditional love that comes from one's own parents!😭

I agree that Vijay sees Raghav as a red herring in Pallavi's life and rightfully so, Raghav has been nothing but rude to her, but what I also see how visibly he's disgusted at the thought of Pallavi being with any other man, let alone Raghav!

If they actually believed her to be their daughter, Sulo would have met with tight words or even a slap for accusing Pallavi of such things, but instead, there were questions and doubts!🤬

Sharda is the only one thinking of the void in Pallavi's life, a life without a life partner, that too long one to go and was trying to bridge the gap by finding a groom for her! But Vijay was always against the idea! He immediately excused that Pallavi will never get such loving in-laws as them, but what I understood was that he wants to keep Pallavi with them as a reminder that she is his son's wife, a replacement for his son! I see his selfishness by the way he has literally burdened with all the financial responsibilities when he himself can do some work if not all! Not even Aai has thought this through, the thought of assisting Pallavi! Had they been supportive and had Pallavi actually been transparent with them, she wouldn't have had to hide the truth about shop going into losses and would not have to play this challenge games with someone like Raghav!

I don't even trust Sharda when it comes to trusting Pallavi in Raghav's matter after that mehndi wiping incident! There was no need to wipe off that RR from her hand, if it didn't mean anything! She did that just to satisfy her husband's ego and cover up for his doubts!👎🏼

So, all in all, Pallavi wasn't and never will be treated like an actual daughter and with Raghav coming into the picture, the gap, mistrust & disgust is all gonna be widened! She will always be their DIL and at best, Mandar's replacement, that's it! All this beti jaap is just nonsense!🤪

Coming to the topic, yes SKR and Shivangi are improving with each passing episode and the chemistry is crackling, be it verbal or physical!

At the risk of sounding like a support for Vijay, I just want to present a counter opinion to your statement that Vijay never liked the idea of Pallavi being with another man and wants to keep her with them all the time as a reminder of being his son's wife...what if his resistance to Aayi's attempt was not about Pallavi being with someone else but rather with his wife forcing it on Pallavi. There is no reason why Aayi should feel that Pallavi's life is unfulfilled unless she marries again. Pallavi is young and ambitious about the store she is running and its her prerogative to decide if/when/whom she wants to marry. Vijay might have been trying to save Pallu from being paraded around people who were not as sensitive as baba and aayi to Pallu's feelings.

The fact is that I can see a biological father having the exact same reaction to the situation as Vijay in the RR-Pallu equation even if Pallu was never married before. So writing it off as his ego and selfishness just because he shares a FIL relationship with Pallu isn't fair.

Amazing take on the episode..I would have really wished for Pallu to atleast give back once..she gets back to everyone when they assassinate her character..Why the hell did she miss this? Or does she actually think there is something cooking between her and RR...There are very minimal flashbacks that she has developed some feelings for RR..except for the holi..She cant keep herself or her hands away from RR..This definitely sets the wrong expectation to not just Sulu to everyone.
