Episode No 178 Friday 15/2/08

Sakthi's house - Tilaga is visiting - Narrates all the
latest happenings. (looks like Kannu refused to sponsor
the "round katti azhugai session" and so Tilaga shifted
the venue!!) "Mappillaiyum sabhandhiyum talked very
bad, Sakthi" - Nut chides mom for calling those
"kattumirandis" by that name. " paavam Kannu vai
nalla maatti vittutinnga" ( amma di, neethan athukku
main reason, marakkathe,ok?) Sakthi continues her
tirade- " neenga ipdi avangalai parthu bayapadara
thinaale than avanga mosamaa pesaraanga. ( amaam ma,
ellarum unnai mathri sidu sidu nnu moonjiyai kamicha
than nallathu, intha vishayathile nee than athai kku
vaarisu - sandai vanthuthu da Lakshmana, sOthu
mootaiyai kizhe irakku nnu odane aarambikka!! How
I wish u were Bhoo's wife!!) Tilaga goes on to say
that she has no hopes of Kannu having any kind of
good life with them and so she wants Nut to be nice to
her in-laws and have a calm life. Nut promises that she
won't cause any worry for Tilaga. As Tilaga leaves
Diwa comes in, offers to drop MIL home and MIL
declines. Diwa asks nut about his parents and is told
that they have gone out. Diwa as usual makes the
mistake of asking Sakthi as to why she looks unhappy
and there goes the peace of the house!!! She tells him
that Bhoo and Danda demeaned her family very badly
and she wants to punish them in the court when the case
against Bhoo comes for hearing. Diwa says that his parents
may not like such turmoil in the family but Nut has no
concern - goes in search of the court summons and Diwa
does what he usually does - frets with hand on his fore-
head. Intro of a new character - Kavitha - she is coming
in an auto and and the auto driver drops her off in the
middle of the road - she fights with him but the driver
refuses to oblige. Sezhi comes there with his funny star
bandage ( Vinu, hair style apdiye irukku, nadu mandaile
stitch potta, konjam kooda shave panna maattangalaa??)
Kavitha calls out to him and asks for change for 500 rs.
Sezhi pays the auto with the money he has and Kavi
wants to be dropped home. She asks about the family's
recent problems and promises to visit them some day.
Sezhi's bike stops as there is no petrol. Kavi calls him to
the petrol bunk and learns that he has no money left. She
wants him to use her money and get petrol. Sezhi initially
objects but relents later.

Megs and Anitha in the construction site. Anitha appreciates
Megs for her mental stamina and rising up to the occasion.
Megs says that she has the support of all the customers and
work force. She is confident that she will finish this job and
hand over the houses to the customers. Megs talks about
Kannu. " Ani , I am worried about her, there is no smile on
her face , she needs to get a job" ( smile aa apdinna?? Kalai
family kku apdi oru word dictionary le irukkarathu theriyathu
Megs, nee thane side plates spreader, unakku theriyaatha??)
Ani promises to help out and Megs goes on to talk about
settling Sezhi and Kirtana. "Sakthi kku as of now no problems -
unless she creates for herself" (rightly said Megs, just be rest
assured, she has already laid the foundation!!!) Anitha stops
Megs and asks her about her own life -"u must live your life
and help/take care of your siblings, u will have no standing
in the society if u do not settle yourself well" Megs says
that she has already decided to stay single -'ennai yaaru
kalyanam pannippa?? with all my problems??" Ani says
that there are a lot of understanding men around and it is
just that Megs has not come across her Mr.Right as yet.
Megs has visions of Vishwam, holding hands and pressing
her hands to his heart. She tells Ani that she wants to give
her man only love and does not want to make him a porter
-"give him my love as salary and make him bear the burden
of my family?? no way" - pensive Megs ( Roja , naa azhuthu
romba neram aachu illiya?? ippo start pannatta?? - Roja
cringes, vendam nnu sonna niruthida poriyaa Megs, go
ahead, naanga vithiyai nonthu kittu pakkarom hmmm)
Anitha looks on

Danda's house - Chandru, the eldest son arrives. Tams is
sitting at the entrance and informs mom that they have a
guest. Goes on to tell him that he always comes with empty
hands " thangachi pillai pethu veet le irukkale, avalukku
yethanum vaangittu varanum nnu thonalaiye unakku?"
Angu also extends a welcome and tells him that he cares
only about his wife and child -" intha veetle evvalavu akka-
pOr nadakkuthu, yennu kettiya??" - Danda calls him and
tells him that they have to do some thing for Bhoo. "We got
him married thinking that he will be happy but from the
beginning every thing has been going wrong. So, now we
have to set right his life - get him married again" - Tams is
happy to hear the announcement, Chandru and Mr.Tams are
shocked, Angu has a painful, angry expression..
( yabba Danda, oru nalla punniya kaariyam sey ppa,
Kannu vai kayatti vittudu, intha rakshasan kitte irunthu
thappichi nimmathiya irukkattum..)

Episode No 179 Monday 18/2/08

Recap pf Danda talking to his first son Chandru. Wants
to get Bhoo married a second time. Mr.Tams is agitated
about this. He points out that Kannu was chosen by the
elders and so it is not right to hurry in to such major decisions.
Tams is keen about getting a new bride home saying that if
Bhoo gets a daughter and if Tams were to become his
sambhandhi, she needs to have some one respectable.
Mr.Tams strongly objects but Tams takes this opportunity
to jump at him -"veettu mappillai, pona porathunnu opinion
ketta, enna romba thullaringa?' - He again pertinently points
out that he was asked to opine and so he is voicing it. Chandru
also seconds that rash decisions are not good but wants the
final decision to be Bhoo's. Bhoo has a wisecrack ( much to
the relief of Roja😳) -" na yar kooda venum nalum vazhven
but not Kannu". Chandru wants to know Angu's point of view
-" amma inge ivvalavu nadakkuthu, nee ennamO serious aa
vengayam vettare??" - Angu says that her opinions do not
matter in this house and they can go ahead with their plan.
Tams tells daddy that when the groom is ready and she is
also agreeable to this, there is no reason why Danda should
hesitate!! She goes on to say that she can never face Vadivu
again which gets seconded by Danda. Chandru points out
that the mistake is on both sides and that they can not blame
Vadivu totally. Danda has a bride ready and decides to go
and see the girl the next day itself.

Kirtana and Kannu in discussion - Kirtana comes in search
of Kannu who is mooning in the terrace. Kirtana wants some
help in a maths problem but Kannu can not solve it for her.
Kirtana wonders as to why Kannu has become like this -
" nee evvalau buthi saali, unakku enna aachu?" - Kannu
has a simple answer " kalyaanam aachu". Kannu goes on
to describe - " before marriage, I had a lot of dreams.
Wanted to do M.Phil, wanted to go abroad, wanted to do
a good deed every Dec.31st ... but all is gone now. I only
think of when Tams will accept me as her SIL, when my
FIL will see me as a good DIL. ... ithu than ippo ninappa
pochu. Every one here is particular about me going back
to Bhoo..What will I do as Bhoo's wife?? get a few kids??
make varieties of sambar?? when Bhoo vomits after drinking
heavily, wash the floor?? hmm" Kannu cries a little and
makes sure to breathe her usual way all through the conver-
sation. Kirtana is worried to see her like this and says that
if marriage can kill all the pleasures of life, she does not
want to marry. Kannu is optimistic - " why do assume that
u would end up marrying another Bhoo?? u will get someone
who can love u and understand your needs" - Kirtana says
that she was worried about solving the maths problem but
Kannu has made it look simple with her lecture about marriage.
Kannu smiles!!! Sisters share some child hood memories
" appa vai yemathittu cinema kku poirukkom illai?" Kannu
says " hmm athu oru kaalam" and Kirtana labels it ka.mu
2007 ( kalyanathukku mun). Both go down - hands on shoulders
- like old times.

Pechi visits Sara and Amutha. Both are happy to see him
and Amutha tells him that she is happy that he still remembers
them. Pechi says that not all can live with "maanam and
rosham" - "maama ennai evvalvo thittiyirukkaru, na enge
porathu? athan sagichukkaren". Gets on with his mission
when Amutha enquires about Danda and family - " antha
murattu Bhoo kku second marriage kku preparation
nadakkuthu. Namba Nandhu ( appa da athu than Mr.Tams
oda peraa??) kooda object panniyirukan, aana avan pechu-
kku yethu mathippu?? Bhoo said that he will never live
with Kannu again and so they are going to see a bride
tomorrow". Amutha is shocked and Sara shows a mixed
emotion ( ahaa, namakku oru chance kidaikkuma??
Kannu vai kalyaanam pannikka???!!! - Roja is all
supportive.😃) Amutha wants to know what Angu says
on this development and Pechi is equally surprised -
"athu than Amutha periya surprise, Angu oru vaarthai
sollaliyaam, yen vaarthaikku yenga mathippu nnu
pesama iruthichiaam..." Amutha is still shocked but
throws a side long glance at Sara....

Episode No 180 Tuesday 19/2/08

Recap of yesterday - Pechi narrating the events
at Danda's house. Amutha wondering that Angu kept
quiet....... Finally Amutha forces Pechi to eat and go..
Sara leaves for work. Pechi goes to the backyard to
wash his hands - the house owner's sister throws a
bucket of water on him and runs inside seeing a
shocked Pechi. Sings :Kuthala aruviyile kulichathu
pol irukkutha?" Pechi is all ready for kadalai podal.
Asks the girl as to who will wipe the water she threw on
him. She just stands behind a door and extends a towel.
Pechi wants her to come out and give the towel. (looks
like an arai loosu, that girl - Pechi kku nalla jodi😳)
The girl says that she will pose some riddles and if
Pechi solves them, she will show her face. Pechi has
no clue about those riddles and the girl says that
"vayasukku vantha girls like her" cannot come out.
Pechi is thrilled and vows to solve the riddles. Amutha
comes there and warns him to keep off that area ' antha
ponnu annanukku therinja kai kaalai odaichuduvaaru"
( come on, imagine Pechi with his limbs missing - will be
some sight😳) Pechi is still drooling over that girl and
goes in to eat.

Thatha and Paatti arrive - aha Kaalai family gets a
chance for a session of "round kati Oppari" - Tilaga
vik viks, the rest are waiting for their turns. Thatha
consoles them and paatti says that all this will end in
a big good turn. " Megala vantha neram ellam nalla
nadakkum, kavalai padaathey" - Athai can not stand
this exchange of love between all. Tilaga now wants
to cry for thatha selling all his property -" neenga enna
ppa ellam vithuttinga vu vu vu" - thatha says that his
grandkids are his property, gives the money to Megs
for banking. Anitha calls and asks Kannu to come for
the interview immediately. Paatti wants Kannu to go the
next day but Megs says that she has been called for today
and she has to go. Megs goes on to say that all the kids
are planning to work. Thatha is happy to hear this and
wants a job for himself " summa ukkanthu saapida
vekkama irukku mma" - this triggers athai and she shouts "niruthunga" Shouts at thatha for his words " ennai kuthi
kaatti pesaringalaa? yaar enna sonnalum, enakku than intha
veetle ella rights um irukku na ukkanthu than saapiduven"
- Thatha says " ithai mattum thiruthave mudiyaathu" - the
family disperses, leaving a fuming athai behind.

Diwa's household - dining table meeting -Pushpa is
sitting with her kid and feeding her. Talk centers around
Kalai family. Diwa's father says that Kalai ran away with
out facing the problems but his children are great and
rose up to the occasion . He praises Megs for all her
bravery. Sakthi is serving food and Pushpa is happy to
poke her nose." Aama chithi paaren, 8 vayasile Odi pona
ponnu, ippo vanthirukka. Naduve ethanai veedu, people
parthiruppa? yethanai veettu soru thinnurupa? athan
ithanai dairiyam. Ennai mathiri, chithi maathiri koil, kadai
veedu nnu iruntha ithanai dairiyam varumaa?" She looks
at Sakthi's face and her daughter is opening her mouth
for food but Pushpa takes it away from her mouth. Durga
warns her to feed the kid properly and Diwa's father says
that what he said about Megs and what Pushpa said about
Megs are totally different. No one is happy with Pushpa's
comments and Pushpa says that she did not say any thing
wrong and if they want her to shut up, she will do so ( athu
sari solla vendiyathu ellam solliyaache, apram enna? u can
shut up) Sakthi excuses herself saying that she feels giddy
and goes up. ( surprisingly, she said nothing through out
Pushpa's banter!!) Diwa follows wife and they have
cootchi cooing in the terrace. Sakthi tries to point
out that all her statements are right and it is just that
she becomes emotional when she puts up her side. Diwa
says that he understands her well and goes on to say
that even though Sakthi's points are valid, the way she
presents them with anger nullifies her stand. Sakthi says
that she is trying to rectify herself. She talks about
Pushpa's kid spoiling his office papers and how that
incident ended up in a fight. Sakthi says that MIL did
not support her. Diwa says that his mother is affectionate
to Push only because she has no daughter and promises
to Sakthi that from now on there will be no misunderstanding
between them. The couple leave.. Diwa puts a protective
hand over his wife's shoulders..

Episode No 181 Wednesday 20/2/09

Thatha is leaving for the site - tells Tilaga that from
now on both Megs and he will live in the site and finish
the work ( but Megs is at home now,so get ready for
some drama folks😳)As he leaves, Amutha comes.
Athai welcomes her sarcastically - "enna antha veet le
irunthu vevu pakka anuppichaangala?" Amutha narrates
her soga story " Athai athai, Kannu athai, sontha kathai
soga kathai athai, naan Kannukkaga parinji pesinene,
engalai veettai vittu thorathi vittanga oh oh athai athai
Vadivu athai " All go in and Athai points out to the rest
about Danda's excellent manners and ethics - " antha
veet le maadu mathri ozhaicha, avalaye thorathiyaachu,
hmm" Amutha asks for Kannu and is told that she has
gone to work ( interview thaane ponaa?? velaiye kidai-
chachha?? - be rest assured folks, AMutha will impart
this important piece of info to Danda household and ...
u know what is in store😳)Now Amutha unfolds the
secret of her visit " enakku kekkave romba kashtamaa
irukku, athan inge sonna ellarum sernthu kashtap padalaam
nuu..." finally says that the preps for a 2nd marriage for
Bhoo is on - Tilaga, Megs and Paati show a shocked
expression ( athai solrathu correct than, moolai ye
illai ungalukku!!! enna shock vendi kidakku?? as if u
did not expect this??!!) Now athai rocks again " ennathu??
2nd marriage aa?? panniduvaana?? antha Thadi Thandava
Rayan Danda vai summa vida maatten. Athu sari intha
proposal pathi Angu enna sonna?" Amutha says that
Angu just kept quiet and now Tilags shows more shock
" sambhandhi amma onnume sollaliya??" Megs joins
" Anngu athai epdi ithai allow panninanga?" Athai goes
on full blast now " olagathileye ungalai mathiri muttal kal
kidaiyathu di. Angu nongu vai ellam nambaringa?? ellam
ithile kootu than di, appo le irunthu na solren,kekkave
maatingala??" Goes on to warn Amutha saying that as
per law, when the first wife is alive, a second marriage
is not allowed. Vows to make sure that the whole
Danda family will be behind bars. Megs tries to pacify
athai saying that such talks will only broaden the rift
but athai is beyond caring - storms out of the room -
Paatti, Tilag and Megs have an in camera conference
- "Vadivukku theriyame poi Danda veet le enna
nadakkuthunnu parthuttu vaanga" which gets negated
by Megs. " Danda summa mirattarathukkaga ipdi
solraar, we will not go and fight now, let us wait" All
agree to this wise approach but Megs talks within
herself saying that she should go and meet Danda
with out any one's knowledge and find out the truth.

Kannu comes for her interview - Anitha seems to have
briefed well and the boss is mightily pleased to offer a
job to Kannu. Calls his son Prakash who is the Chief
executive and introduces Kannu. Tells him that she
will be an audit assistant and will join immediately.
Prakash takes her along, introduces all the staff
and show her to her seat. There is a lady called
Viji who is supposed to help Kannu - another new
character intro - known face - normally seen in
Radaan serials.

Finally we see Vishwam - Lakshmi is able to talk now
and the doctor discharges her. The husband still has
a crying face ( moonji ye apdi than pole!! athu sari Megs
kku FIL aaganum nna intha qualification kooda illatta
mudiyuma??) They go home and she asks Vish to find
Megs -"all my fault, u suffered" Vish for his part 'no mma
all my fault, I defied yr wish" ( un kuthama yen kuthama,
yaarai na kutham solla - BG by Roja!!) The father of
the other girl ( the one who helped Lakshmi in the
hospital and who was supposed to be betrothed to Vish)
comes and enquires about her health. After initial chit
chat, he is told that Vish will not marry that girl and he
will look for his lover girl. the man is very understanding
and leaves with nice words. Lakshmi and her cry hubby
look on

Episode No 182 Thursday 21/2/08

Danda's house - tams is busy teaching her infant
Englis ( apdi podu, nee solli kuduthu athu pesittalum..)
"a foru aaple b foru bellu c foru caru" - the baby looks
cute and smiles at his mom's Englis!! Angu is going out
and she calls Tams to come along. But Tams is busy as
she has to admit her son in school in an year. Angu leaves,
Tams bores our ears with her accented Englis.... Bingo
Megs enters. Tams screams her head off and calls dad
dearest - "nammai oru nimisam kooda nimmathiya irukka
vida maatanga pole , neeye vanthu kelu intha aniyayathai"
Danda is quick to help his daughter, stops Megs at the
threshold and wants to know why she is here. Megs thinks
that \she makes a wise move by asking for Bhoo, her sister's
hubby. Tams has no clue as to how Bhoo has any relation
at all - "athan antha mundai kanni yai aruthu thorathiyache?
apram enna thangachi purushan??" Megs goes on to say
that she has some thing important to discuss with Bhoo and
now Danda is anger personified. " get lost from here, we do
not want you any where near our house". Megs realizes that
they have wrongly construed her visit " ayyo, na prachani
panna varalai, thanmai ya pesa vanthen" Danda shouts
some more and Megs appeals to his tharam and age!!! He
says that he has no regard for any of the women in Megs'
house and he is not ready to see her any more. " nee
kodathaan chinna vayasile Odi pOi ippo thirumbi vanthiruke,
naduve ennallam nadanthathO??/ " Now Megs
spills the beans " Bhoo kku 2nd marriage panna decide
panni tingalaam, athu ellam vendam nnu kekkathan I
want to see Bhoo". Tams is surprised as to how such
classified information leaked out and Pechi's face pales.
Megs has one more trick up her sleeves - " give me Bhoo's
mobile no, I will talk to him" - Tams is astonished to hear
such atrocity " avan number unakku ethukku?? Thangachi
purushan kooda loves aa??" Megs is insulted thoroughly
and made to leave ( unakku nalla venum!! how many times
can athai try to drill some sense in to all your wood heads??!!
eppo than puriyum ungalukku intha janagalai pathi???) Tams
asks dad again about the leak in info and dad says that Angu
may have said this to them. Pechi heaves a sigh of relief.
Tams is all set for a group visit from Tilaga household.
"evalaanum vanthu intha vasalile nikkattum, pinji poidum"
- goes in leaving a dazed Pechi behind.

Megs walking with a soga BG. Nandhu (Mr.Tams) sees her
and gets talking to her. Megs narrates the incidents in
Dandapani maama(??!!)' s house and does not forget to tell
him about his wife's rejoinders. He tells her that he knows
about them all and can not understand Megs trying to reason
out. Megs being Megs now wants him to direct her to Bhoo.
" sandai mootti vida aal irukanga, prachanai yai Oothi
perisakka aal irukkanga, samathanam pesa than yaarum
illai, i want to be the pigeon of peace, say what??? (athai ,
neenga sonnathu oru vazhiyile unmai than pole, ithu unga
gene le pirantha ponne illai, moolai, self respect oru
kanraaviyum illai!!) Nandhu tries to dissuade her but she
insists. Nandhu calls Bhoo and finds out that he is in the
same lodge where he normally hangs out with his friends.
Nandhu hesitatingly tells Megs that she can not be seen
visiting such places but Megs is so worried about her
thangachi's life (!!!! intha moron veet le innum un sister
vazhanum nnu ninaikkariye, do u really love her??? nichiyam
illai, u want to kill her slowly so that u and your mom can
have a lot of chances for round katti oppari!!!) she does not
care visiting a lodge to meet Bhoo. " intha prachnai le Bhoo
is also affected as much as Kannu (!!! hey, nee enna kirukka?
loose aa??? unakku enge polaam , enge poga koodathunnu
kooda theriyaatha???? give me a brrrreeeaakkk!!) Finally
Nandhu agrees to take her to Bhoo's hangout ( Paavam avaru,
sonna ketta theane??? nadu road le saucers ai spread panni
ippove poganum nna enna seyvaar??? pakkaravanga avarai
thappa ninaichutta???) He agrees to accompany Megs.

Auto - Megs and Nandhu - land at that lodge. A room boy comes
out and informs that Bhoo is booked in R.No 103 ( it was an
eye sore to watch that!!!! guess there is some truth in what
Danda's clan talks about Megs!!! Can't she think before visiting
such places???) Nandhu makes one last try to dissuade her
but Megs says that she has to do this for her thangachi's life
" ava life ithu anne, idam porul ellam parthal mudiyuma?"
( ayyo ayyo ayyayyo, athai inge vaangalen,plsssss) They go
to Bhoo's room and he has a field day insulting Megs and family.
Megs want to have a private chat with him but he laughingly
says that he has nothing private to share with her. His friends
are excited about the "figure"'s visit!!! Megs wants to know
Kannu's lacunae and why Bhoo rejects her. Bhoo is happy to
have a chance to vent out " tall and fair nna porumaa?? nalla
kudumba thile irunthu vara vendaama?' Megs has no clue as
to why he can not see how good their family is!! "enga kudumba-
thukku enna korai?" "athu sari, solla aarambicha nikkame
sollanum, kadankaara kudumbam, Odi pora kudumbam,
ipdi neruiya irukku, epdi oru night le 5 lacs money ready
pannininga? athellam ketta enna aagum??" ( nalla kaalam
he did not add this - intha mathiri lodge kkellam vara women
irukkira kudumbam - that one statement would have been
true anyways!!) His friends are shocked to hear the 50 lacs
issue 'oru night le yaa?? 50 lacs aa?" Well, to cut a long dirty
story short, Bhoo insults Megs to the core and finally she
is angry - ' deyyyyy" holds on to his shirt collar......

Episode No 183 Friday 22/2/08

Recap - Megs shouting at Bhoo -"just because Kannu
was in Thyagu's house, do not doubt her integrity, none
of us are like that in our family" Bhoo talks about the
50 lacs in one night episode and his friends- " 50 lac aa,
one night le ya??" Finally Bhoo says what we thought
him to say" intha mathiri lodge kku varra ponnu family
epdi irukkum?" Megs wants to catch him by the collar
but his friends do a "yeyyy". Finally Megs says that she
came to talk to Bhoo about his 2nd marriage and she
will make sure that it does not happen. Bhoo challenges
that he will marry as many times as he wants and necks
her out. A fuming Megs complains to Nandhu about Bhoo's
atrocious behaviour and Nandhu rightly points out that she
should not have come here at all. As they go out ( Megs
covers her shoulders with her sari and has a tired face -
sorry to say this but she looked like one of those sex
workers!!!) Vishwa's friend sees her , shouts her name
and tries to stop the auto but the auto speeds. He finds
out from the room boy that she visited Bhoo in R.No 103.
This guy goes and asks Bhoo about meeting Megs and
Bhoo gets an opportunity to malign her. He tells Viswa's
friend that she can definitely be approached but she is
an expensive person. The friend is shocked and moves
away " che if Vishwa comes to know, he will be heart
broken"

Sakthi and Diwa - He is leaving for work and Sakthi
tells him that she wants to visit her mom. Diwa says
that they can go in the evening but Sakthi says that

playing with some papers. Pushpa comes and beats
the child saying that because of the child's behaviour

and pulls her away.( advice for the child mattum thaana??
athe advice unakkum porunthume!!! ) Sakthi is angry
but does not say a word. Diwa is very unhappy about
this and goes to mom. He tells mom that Pushpa manages
to indirectly hit at Sakthi every time and wants mom to
tell Pushpa to stop such activities. Mom says that Pushpa
is here as a guest and that they have to tolerate all this -
"if Pushpa were your own sister, your wife will be more
understanding right?? just because she is your cousin,
your wife has complained to u like this?? ithellam
kudumba lakshanam illai da" ( kudumba lakshanam
nna?? veettu DIL ai ellarum enna vena sollalam, ava

enakku puriyalai!!) As Dowa comes out of the kitchen,
he sees Sakthi standing on the stair case and staring
at him. Well, she did hear every thing!! She does not
say a word but her look speaks volumes. Diwa feels
bad but Sakthi just picks up some thing from the table
and goes up ( it really surprised me to see nut holding
her tongue!! at last she has realized that silence is 1000
times more powerful than herusual " kuzhayadi sandai"!!)

Kannu's office - lunch time and all are at the dining table.
The girls talk among themselves. Viji is asked by another
girl about her wedding. Viji says that it all almost fixed
and the groom will be coming soon to see her - the world
is really small folks, u can just squeeze it in a dining
table!!! - Yes, this Viji is the one who is suggested by
Danda for his darling moron. The other girl asks about
marrying Bhoo as a second wife and Viji talks about
her soga kathai -" I have a tough life here because of
lack of money, rasam sadam, train le idi pattu travel,
oru 150 rs sari vaanga 10 months seettu podanum... so
I do not mind marrying him as a second wife" The other
girl asks about Bhoo''s job descriptions and Viji says
that he is lucky to be a "ukkanthu sapidara vasathi
irukkira payyan(??!!) - As the talk is on Prakash calls
Viji and takes her out. he shouts at her saying that some
documents have to reach an important client in Trichy
by the evening and wants to know the status. Viji says
that she has already couriered it and does not know
what to do. Kannu enters the arena saying that she
found out that the courier's vehicle has met with an
accident and so the delay. Prakash frets that it has to
reach by the evening and Kannu has the solution-
" system has all those papers, we can print them and
send through some one who is going to Trichy by air,
I also found out that there is an afternoon flight" Prakash
is happy and praises Kannu that she is smart. He does
not forget to chide Viji for being lackadaisical -
" neenga Kannu kku velai solli thara thukku bathil
avanga ungalukku solli tharuvaanga, come Kannu, lets
do the job" - Kannu becomes Mary's lamb and Viji
is jealous/angry/upset....... well, both Bhoo's women
are at logger heads now.....

Episode No 184 Monday 25/2/08

The girl who helped Viswam's mom in the hospital
( the one who was supposed to marry Viswam) meets
him on the road. Viswa tries to avoid her but she stops
him and wishes him good luck. "If u love some one
sincerely, that love will make sure to unite u with your
loved one. The love u have for Megala is such a sincere
one.That is what made your mom change her mind.
Anyways, what if Megla is married already?? I just
hope that no such thing has happened and I really want
u to marry your lady love. How ever, by some extreme
chance, it is not possible, please do not hate me. I love
u as much as u love Megala. Good luck" - the girl is cool
and smiling. Viswa is surprised at her temperament and
says that he does not know how to answer her ( che my
Megs would have flooded this road by now.. nee enna
ipdi sirikkare??? namba mudiya villai villai villai..lai)
Both leave. ( so, since this girl is so sincere in her love
for Viswa, she will end up marrying him??? will be good
because this one also has saucers but they are smiling
ones - not the Megs type rain clouds!!!) The girl looks
back once and walks her way.

Sakthi arrives to Tilaga's house. Tilaga is fussing over
Sezhi and is glad to see Sakthi. Paatti and thatha extend
a warm welcome. Tilaga serves food and Sakthi is happy
to eat mom cooked food. Megs enters - sees the happy
atmosphere - (Ayyo sirippa?? intha veet le yaa?? hmm
ummm never!!) Does a preambling deep breath and walks
slowly. Sakthi says Hi but Megs ignores. Tilaga is already
well in to spreading out her own saucers " enna di aachu??
enge poirunthe?" The Megs dam breaks - goes and sits in
a place, to facilitate round katti oppari. " I have never been
insulted in my life like this ever before,ammaaaaa vu vu vu"
Dam Tilaga breaks as well and mom and kid hold on to each
other. Sakthi does not want to provide cry support, Paatti
panics and Megs describes her escapade to all who care to
listen (which includes yours truly uh huh) - " I could not allow
Kannu's life going down the drain and so went to Danda
maama (??? again?? maama? still? grr) 's house to ask for
neethi and nyayam. he spoke very badly and Tams for her
part doled out some choice comments. Bhoo was not there
and they threw me out.. athu kooda parava illai mma vu vu
vu u vu vu " ( Roja waits with her usual mad gleam.. innum
nee main picture kku varaliye!! trailer ai ye thaangame
unga amma saucers rain kottuthu..) After some goading
Megs continues with her sojourn -" vara vazhile, Mr.Tams
ai parthen, avar kitte kettu Bhoo vai poi parthen mma,
avaru ennai romba kevalama pesittaru maa " apdi
ennadi sonnar?? ( antha moron kku mariyadhai vera!!
hmmm, athai solrathu correct, ungalai ellam thiruthave
mudiyaathu!!) Megs manages to tell them that Bhoo
labeled her as a prostitute. Now, Paatti asks as to
where darling Megs met the moron and Megs says that she
visited the lodge where Bhoo hangs out with his friends. Sezhi
is all keyed up and wants to wring Bhoo's neck right away.
Thatha wants some porumai " speed aa yethanum panni,
nilamai yai innum mosamaa kidathey " Sakthi is happy to
get a chance to blow her fuse ( antha veet le kovam kaatta
mudiyalai, ingiyaavathu chance kidaichithe, habbbba)
" aama, enna porumai vendiyirukku??? neenga ellarum
eppovum ithaiye solringa!! Now that Kannu's life is gone,
why should we wait??? the case is coming for hearing and
I will see him 'one hand' " Sezhi is happy to see that at least
one akks joins him in getting angry and extends full support
to Sakthi. Among all the flooding, both paati and Tilaga
manage to point out that Megs should not have visited the
lodge where Bhoo does"kudithu and kummaalam".
"ennai enna kevala paduthinaalum parava illai, Kannu
life sari aaganum nu ponen ammaaaaaa" - under the
patronage of august audience, Tilaga hugs Megs and ......
of course cry!! what else???? Sakthi is angry........ paatti
has no energy to join the cry club.....

- Roja singing aloud goes on to sing.. "athai illatha veedu

Viswam's house - Gopi, his friend has come but Viswa
is leaving for some relative's house. Calls Gopi but he
refuses -" I will wait for your parents , you go".As Viswa
leaves, the other friend from Madras, Kumar calls. He
narrates "Megs in the lodge" episode and augments his
inference with his Sherlock Holmes activities -" I went and
asked at the room from where she came out. they told me
that she is one of those high priced pros." Gopi refutes
saying that Megs is not that kind but Kumar has a very
valid argument " hey nalla mathiri ponnu ellam antha
mathiri edathukku varuvaala??? imagine, 4 thadiyans
playing cards and drunk... this woman visits and goes out
tired.... che Megs has gone astray da, I have no doubts"
Gopi gets wise and asks Kumar not to inform Viswa -" he is
so happy that his mom has agreed for the marriage and
even if u tell him all this, he will only hit u, he won't believe
any thing what u say,OK? " As Gopi puts the phone down,
cry pot dad and mom land...looks like they over heard the
whole thing...... ( Deepavali, Deepavali nee than di....
BG by Roja) If looks could burn... Lakshmi could have burnt
whole of Trichur.....

Episode No 185 Tuesday 26/2/08

Recap of Gopi and Kumar's conversation. Lakshmi burns
with her eyes – Dhadi daddy is a step behind as usual. Gopi
asks a stupid Q -"eppomma vntheenga?, landing time pls."
Lakshmi confirms that the privy info has been heard by her
verbatim. Cryingly says that she wanted sonny boy to marry
Megs but now… how??? " can not accept such a girl as my
DIL" Gopi is a treasure of ideas –"let us hide this from Viswa.
If we tell him, he will surely not believe us" –Lakshmi goes in
and dhadi goes behind doing the only thing he knows –lakshmi lakshmi……Kannu's office Viji and another girl are talking
about some work. The office boy comes with tthe offer of tea
which gets declined by Viji – "neriya velai irukku ppa, tea lam
venam. Puthu experts have joined our office and I will be
doomed" Kannu is in the next cabin and can listen to all this
with out making any efforts. As the talk is on, Kannu brings a
file and asks Viji to help "I have been asked to cross check
RR file, can u help?" Viji promptly turns down the request
" I help only novices, not experts like u" Kannu looks
bewildered with the file spread on her hand. The office boy
comes back with another work for Viji and she quickly
passes it on to Kannu "I am on leave tomorrow as I am
being"ponnu pathufied" – pls ask our expert to attend to
this". Boy hands over the slip?? To Kannu. Kannu sits
down with the same bewildered look. ( che office ithu,
yaarum ennoda ukknthu oppari vaikka maatanga. Megs
akka kku inge oru velai kidaikkuma?? Amma can bring
lunch and we can have a mid afternoon session hmmm)
Kannu is lost.

Bar – Pechi and Nandhu are all set to 'water " themselves.
Nandhu is new to this and Pechi peps him up. The house owner
of Sara comes and tells them that only when they give money,
they will be given the bottle. Nandhu doles out 1000 rs and the
guy leaves. Talk turns to Bhoo's 2^ndmarriage – Nandhu says
that with a wife like Tams, he is not considering a second
marriage and how can Bhoo accept this proposal – " na Tams
oda hubby thane? (Nandhu enna ya doubt unakku?? Athu sari,
u better clear it out with someone who has the answer. Pechi
kku enna theriyum??, nalla kaalam ippo vavathu kettiye!!)
Nandhu goes on - " Kannu paavam, romba nalla ponnu.
Anne na antha veetu mappillai, na solren 2^nd marriage vendam
nnu kekkaliye… en mariyadhai enna aarathu?" Pechi has a
basic doubt "mariyadhai?? unakku?? Innuma irukku??"
Nandhu chides him and promises to show his viswaroopam to
Danda and clan –"na kudichitti poi panra galatta le avanga
arandu poganum, say what?" Finally they realize that the
bearer who took the money has not come back. They enquire
in the counter and are told that some one has cheated them
– " antha aalu unga mathiri ilicha vaayan galai parthu nalla
yemathi ttu panam vaagittu poidaraan" He goes on to say
that they are trying to nail that guy but he escapes every
time. Pechi is made to empty his pockets and pay again
as Nandhu is bent on having a drink.

Viswa comes in happily and shows two identical saris
to mom. Happily says that both Megs and mom should
wear the sari on the day Megs enters his house as DIL.
Lakshmi has no reaction and dhadi just manages to hang
down hislower lip ( kashta kaalam, enna yya expression
ithu??) Viswa goes on saying that he has 2 more identical
saris for mom and Megs to wear on the day of their kula-
deivam visit. He now deems it fit to explain the dreams he
has had - " amma , neeyum Megs um sertnthu koil kku,
kadai kku ellam pora mathiri dream pannuven. She will be
a good DILto u…on.. on….." Lakshmi blows her fuse
"Porum da. Ippothan Kumar phone panni Megs has become
a pros nnu sonnan. How can she become my DIL?"
Viswa immediately suspects mom " so this is the new line
of defense from u now?? So u acted as if u agreed for the
marriage?" Lakshmi promises that Kumar called with this
important info and she is not lying. Viswa picks up his bag
( ready aa packed aa irukkumO?? Ulle ponaan,eduthan
kilambittan??) vows to come back only after he find Megs.
Storms out. Lakshmi cries,asks hubby to stop sonny boy
( yov dhadi, konjam useful aa yethanum sey, po odu magan
pinnadi) dhadi runs… mom cries….( so much for Gopi's
instructions!!!! )

Episode 186 Wednesday 27/2/08

Pechi and Nandhu arrive drunk. They stand in the portico and start shouting. Pechi says that he will start the topic and Nandhu can take over. Nandhu says that he has plenty to talk and so wants Pechi to be brief. He shouts "Tamarai veliye vaadi" - Tams comes and the camera has an eerie angle which makes her face look like a demon .Nandhu immediately screams Pei Pei and Pechi confirms that it is Tams. Angu comes and chides them both for being drunk but Nandhu offers her the balcony seat " go, sit and watch from there, today I have a lot to say" - Tams is cool and wants to know as to what he has to say.Nandhu goes near her and wonders who gave her that name "Tamraiya?? unakku peru thagara dabba nnu vaichirukkanuum, Karuppayee , Karuppayee" Tams is angry but her face refuses to turn red!!! Nandhu yells at her asking her to bring her dad and Bhootham.Danda comes out with out any goading from Tams. Nandhu shouts at him also. Tams asks him"how dare u talk to my dad like this??" - which gets answerd by "unga appan enna periya Governor aa?? moottai poochi, extra large moottai poochi. Kandhu vatti ratha kaatteri..." Danda has no answer and asks Tams to take hubby in. But Nandhu is not done as yet. " Parrot mathiri wife irukkum pothu un payyanukku 2nd marroage aa?? law padi athu thappu" Tams and Danda try to stop him.Danda pushes Pechi and he falls down.Nandhu shouts that Pechi has been killed but Pechi lies down and asks Nandhu to go ahead with his tirade. Nandhu goes on to say that he looks like the white king coin of a chess board and Tams is like the black sepoy coin. Tams is furious but manages to push hubby in. Bhoo comes and nandhu does not spare him as well. "Nee enna periya manmathan aa?? un moonjikku 2nd marriage??? u spoiled my sister's life" Tams asks "Padmini life ai ya?" Nandhu says that Kannu is his udan iravaa sister. Nandhu wants Tams to answer but she says that all this wil be answered in the morning. She necks him in and Pechi islying down - "Dandapani ozhiga, Bhoopathy ozhiga"... Angu goes in as well slapping her forehead. (was fun to watch - When Nandhu calls Danda as extra large moottai poochi and Tams as thagara dabba!!! - Tams might deal with him with an iron hand in the morning but Nandhu made his points!!! Nandhu when drunk is 50% athai😡)

Diwa and Sakthi - Sakthi is as usua; pensive and Diwa asks the usual Q. "enga veet le oru chinna prachanai.. mmm why are u looking so happy?" Diwa shows her a pair of bangles and a chain - gies her a Valentine's day card also. She is happy to see that and the couple exchange some nice words (at last!! nice to see romance here. Eppo parthaalum saucers and side plates with water dripping!!) Diwa says that hislove is stil the same and Sakthi says that hers has increased. The couple look happy (samy , bhagaavane, ithu nilaikkattum, Kalai clan le irunthu yaarum vanthu kalaikka koodathu and not to mention Pushpa!!)

Morning - Nandhu wakes up and finds himself lying on the floor. He is able to recall all that he said and remembers Tams' promise of answering in the morning. He is very scared and knows that dad and daughter will deal with him differently. He gets up with fear written large on his face....

Episode 187 Thursday 28/2/09

Recap of Nandhu getting scared about his previous day's
bravery. Nandhu peeps fromt he stair case and sees Tams
conversing with his sister Padmini and Chandru. Tams tells
them about Nandhu calling her names and Padmini is happy
that her bro at last mustered enough courage to confront his
wife. Chandru sees Nandhu peeping and calls him to join
them. Nandhu wants to go for his bath but Tams is ready for
her attack " enge poringa, inga vaanga , s(g)entle man,
enna nalla thoonginingalaa??" Nandhu comes with a sheepish
look and calls wife with an endearing "Tamaraiii.." Chandru is
enjoying the fun. Tams goes on with her kacheri😳 " Do u
remember me?? engiyo partha ninaippu irukka?? rathiri
nadantha thu ninaivu irukka??? unakkum enakkum match
illai, chess le white coin naanu, nee karuppu coin lam sollalai?" Nandhu says that black is beautiful. Tams finally says that he
is not as smart as herself "oru naal poi vatti panam collect
panna mudiyuma?? and on top of that u called my dad an
extra large mootai poochi? just because of marrying me only,
u are like this. otherwise u would be selling dolls on the roads.
All u had in your mind has come out last night" Nandhu says
that only when he drinks he gets the courage to talk all this.
Chandru pacifies Tams saying that it was not Nandhu but
the drinks which had gone in talked last night. Tams says that
if he ever talks like this again, he will have his mouth torn
from ear to ear. Danda comes and Nandhu hides again.
Danda for his part tells Nandhu that only his family can
support Nandhu and he better keep his mouth shut." If u
talk too much, i will make Tams divorce u and get her married
again, ok?" But Tams says that for the next 7 generations,
Nandhu is her hubby. Danda asks them all to get ready for
the girl seeing ceremony. Padmini expresses her unhappiness
about Danda being so adamant about the second marriage and Chandru says that things are beyond their hands.

Viswa comes to see Kumar, his friend. Confronts Kumar about
reporting about Megs. Kumar confirms seeing Megs in the lodge
but Viswa wants to go there asap to check things. Kumar tries to
cry off saying that he has to go to work but Viswa drags him.
Kavitha arrives at Tilaga's house. All welcome her with a smile.
(this is the girl who is related to Kalai and is from Madurai).
Kavitha talks about their problems and says that she was very
upset hearing all this. Athai is happy that she visited them even
though they are poor now but Kavi says that money has nothing
to do with relationships. Athai expresses her wish now- "when
I saw Kavi for the first time, i wanted her to be the DIL of our
house. But, our status has gone down now with my thambi being
away. Kavi mathiri oru ponnaipartha yaarukkuthan apdi thoonathu?? thought that both the relationship and the sothu will be within the family..hmmm" Both sezhi and Geetha are shocked. Tilaga stops athai's talk but athai says that she is just doing some loud thinking. Kavi prepares toleave by atuo but athai asks Sezhi to drop her. Sezhi obliges and Geetha is more shocked ( amma di, saucers ai spread pannathey, ok?? he is just dropping a friend!!) Sezhi and Kavi leave.

Sara briefing his sales girls - basic ethics and how to be totally
oblivious to customers' tantrums. The girls say "yes sir yes sir" and leave for their assigned streets. Kannu is walking and Sara looks.....
