What seemed to bother many viewers (atleast i am one) is the judging..

Criteria used by judges were contradictory in challenges ..

Somewhere half cooked dish was rated least ,sometimes it was chosen over a dish which seemed sweeter in taste
Sometimes bad presentation meant no tasting ,sometimes bad presentation was ignored over the taste..
Sometimes incomplete layer in dish was rated least than a simple layer in dish gone absolutely wrong..

Many a times the judges remarks were simplified ..this is the best dish tasted formed the basis of how good a dish is ,giving the viewer no absolute basis for comparison...Don't get me wrong here ,Compliments are nice and always encouraging but to repeat the performance exact reason why something is good helps

I hope someone reads this who is related to show ,maybe they can bring a change in judging system by introducing marking and showing marks given by three judges ..

Giving reasons like layer 2 was easy so it had 20% weight age and layer 3 had 40% ..Means a candidate getting zero in layer 2 and zero in layer 3 makes a lot of difference..

I think such information would give viewers better basis to understand the cumulative result.Else
reasoning the judgment is left to viewers assumptions l

agreed, an objective judging system would go a long way. Lo kar lo baat, yeh hui na dish is of no value to the discriminating viewer.

my suggestions would be
1. objective judging with marks
2. show the comments from all 3 judges, we would like to know they are all tasting and judging
3. show discussions among judges on the technical aspects of the prepared dishes

would go a long way in restoring value to the title of masterchef. i feel this season the value of a Masterchef title has been denuded

I agree, its gud if there was a marking system and they mention the criterias too atleast a bit more transparent judging even though that can be corrupted too. I have actually lost the respect and confidence in their judgement due to the improper explanation during each judgment/elimination round.
By Now they have some preconceived notions abt everyone's cooking and personality and this actually gets mixed in their judgement. like if Doyal makes gud chutneys twice ,they start tasting keeping this in mind. Similarly Ripus dishes are judges before tasting . they might be really gud but with the lack of explanation abt others dishes, we have nothing else to believe.

Before i wished they call other judges for tasting but when Ajay was called , Doyal was prefd over Devayani even when the layers in Faluda was missing .😕

Exactly what I said in another thread, but someone attacked saying it's not the judges, but the channel who decide the criteria for the show, everything. The quality of judging is way below par

And when there're fewer plates for judging, why can't each judge be shown tasting n commenting? Why the need for unnecessary commentary? Not interested in what was going thru the cook's mind, we know they're nervous 🥱

Yeah, that would be nice. The vague comments given while judging makes it impossible to relate to the judgements... maybe more details can give more clarity for viewers. Plus, yes.. a proper marking scheme might make the judgements more fair...
