Actor Akshay Kumar is getting back to Star Plus' MasterChef India 2, not as a host but as the judge. Yes, all you people who had been missing Akshay on the show can now rejoice over this piece of news which we have got today.

As you must have seen in the promos being aired, it's Akshay Kumar who has been roped in to judge the grand finale of MasterChef India 2. Buzz says that the grand finale of MasterChef India 2 will be held on January 1, 2012. Sources from Star Plus channel have officially announced that Akshay Kumar will be the celebrity guest-judge on the show. The actor will announce the winner's name and hand over the prize to him or her.

Talking about the finale, Nitin Vaidya, business head for Star Network confirmed, "It's our pleasure that Akshay managed to take time out of his schedule for this show. We are working out a plan to ensure that we make it worth his time. This year has been extremely fruitful for the format and in turn, for us. The content has been loved and followed by many people across the country. We have no complains".

We agree with you Nitin, though Akshay couldn't make it to host the show but the second season proved a success withChef Vikas Khanna being on board. Hope we get to hear of it's another season too!
