We say that the winner of the show is a winner in life because this is a tough game. And the winner's life only transforms for the best, for the MasterChef India title owner wins one crore prize money, a cookery show on Star network and a cookery book published in his or her name. So, lets get to know who has it to take home a fortune.
Jayanandan Bhaskar is a businessman who used to run a fast food counter that he was forced to shut down due to lack of finance. His parents expired when he was in school and he has 4 siblings. Multi-talentedJoe Bath is a TV anchor, emcee, DJ and RJ. This witty Punjabi munda has anchored TNA wrestling show. He has vast knowledge about food and has learnt by observing cooks when he used to clean vessels to earn some extra money while studying in Australia. So who will clinch the title of MasterChef India ?The experienced Jayanandan Bhaskar or Joe Bath who leant by observing others cook?
Next comes the eldest contestant on the show 54 year old Kandla Nijhowne who writes a newspaper column about seasonal food. The lady from Delhi learnt to cook after marriage and writes the column for Tribune once a week. 19 year old student Ankita Chakravarty from Delhi is the youngest contestant on Master Chef. Her dad was a chef but she is not in touch with him since her parents separated. It will be exciting to see whether the eldest contestant manages to defeat the youngest or vice-versa.
Pritesh Chothani an assistant brand manager from Mumbai lists photography and cooking as his passions. He reveals that he cooks more often than his wife does. He has also started Symphony and spices foundation to promote Indian spices. Event manager by profession Radhicka Agarwaal dreamt of becoming a chef but was unsuccessful. She now wants to fulfill her passion for cooking through MasterChef India. The assistant manager and brand manager will definitely be giving each other tough competition.
Archana Chauhan a housewife from Meerut loves cooking and dreams of writing a book on it. Zebi Zubair is a 28 year old housewife from Lucknow who is a very good cook. It remains to be seen whether it is the housewife from Lucknow or from Meerut who goes further in the competition.
Pankaj Bhadouria has been teaching since the last 16 years. Besides cooking her hobbies also include painting. She says that if she wins the show she will be happy to get recognition at national level in something that she enjoys doing the most. Popular radio jockey Parul Sukhwani from Indore claims to have superb taste buds and is very creative with food. Who will excel at cooking- the dedicated teacher or the well known RJ?
Sweta Pareek from Delhi started cooking at a young age since her mother was working away from home. She has also taken up the responsibility of looking after her visually impaired sister. Smita Dugar from Hyderabad is well versed with cuisines from around the world. She enjoys traveling and experiments with the various cuisines that she comes across. Keep watching to find out whether the responsible Sweta manages to defeat the happy go lucky Smita.
