I'll just say, a few of us have constantly complained about Aditya and the way he goes about things, and how he treats the relationship. And Devyani's comparing him to Brahma is not out of the blue. People on the board have been saying that for a while, that in some ways he is like Brahma, except they both exhibit those traits and aspects in different ways.

yes aditya rushes in without thinking, he is rash and very passionate about anything he believes in but he is not egotistic, not inconsiderate or insensitive in general

every short-tempered or passionate person cannot be compared to Brahma. \i think the generalization here is unfair

At the core of his character Brahma is a cold hearted self-serving SOB. he cares for no woman or human


Aditya is not that

yes he is strong headed sometimes but \i think the generalization is unfair

he did apologize he even begged when she left him

he is trying

Brahma never tried and honestly did not care a flying hoot about it either

I know many people do not like Aditya for whatever reason but objectively speaking even Priya is being strong headed right now

today she made a point and he heard

not sure if it was a correct point or if he understood what he heard

but he is trying and he is getting thus far only more requests for accomodation

egotistic people don't try

he listened when she tried to commit suicide and she was telling him her story

he listened when he realized he made a mistake in tearing that letter

he listened when she told him she did not want to kiss him or that his efforts to get intimate felt lustful rather than loving - that was actually an insult and she admitted she miss understood his intention then too - he kept his distance difficult as it was for him to detach himself emotionally

he listened when she told him to find her rapist without her dad

he listened when she told him about Uttara's remarriage

he listened when she told him about Tara's dilemma

he is proud of her as a person

he even told her once that if she had come with him on a rally he would have given her the project to do with confidence and she said she was not interested

he listened when she told him she wanted to leave the house

he listened when she told him to stay away or she would commit suicide - he protected as best as he could from a distance

he listened when she told him not to take this threat lightly ang get police presence

he listened when she said enough the night of the rendezvous

all I am saying is that he did listen many times

he did not listen at one point in time

you cannot write off a person and tell him he has always been unavailable, in accessible, does not listen, is egotistic

it does not seem right

if he did you wrong then speak about that incident don't speak as if the guy is only made up of faults

priya is not squeaky clean and neither is Devyani

she should have walked away then not now when brahma is not her secret

the CVs are misrepresenting the issue and their marital problem through priya and devyani's dialogues and arguments in the last two shows

devyani said he will bring her back without force or pressure

when did he ever get her with force or pressure? she came willingly each time. why misrepresent this?

priya says he has an ego. yet he is the only one trying to reconcile, trying to understand, trying to make amends

these women who had banded together as victims (which is why we could empathize with them) are now acting as aggressors.

this show had a much needed balance before

they had supporters for priya's POV, issues and behaviour and supporters for aditya's POV, issues and behaviour

with the loss of gaurav, chinu, priya's dad all voices for Aditya are lost

we can only hear one side the choir chanting

the other side is mute

aditya is not perfect but neither is priya and that is a good thing because in reality no human is perfect

there are no perfect husbands there are only images of perfect husbands that we hope exist

aditya is not a brute, he is not a bad husband

for a longer period of time he has demonstrated that he is a good husband. at the time he slipped he was having his own issues

priya is not shown as having an ounce of understanding

it is easy for to expect Aditya to believe her unquestioningly from the get go about his father

betcha if somebody told her tomorrow that her father was corrupt and manipulated his female students in order to give them good grades she would not believe them

NO child wants to believe or accept the negative shades of their parents. no child. priya is not immune either if she were in the hot seat.

ANY person who tried to break this too them would have to walk on eggshells. Priya's situation is not unique.

in a marriage people always get hypersensitive when their spouse says the smallest criticism about their family. it is a taboo subject. an unspoken rule if you want a comfortable marriage with your spouse

priya is not a special case. she is not the victim she is making out to be.

what irks me is that:

power corrupts. Brahma, Devyani and Priya have full power over Adtiya. they know this. he knows this. while Brahma was out he used his power to manipulate Aditya. now that he is gone and his influence is gone Devyani and Priya are tag teaming to do the same thing

they actually have Aditya believing that this is an ego issue which is wrong. this is a trust issue

priya should have walked away a long time ago to fix this

devyani should have disclosed things to her son a long time ago and especially when he asked her AT HOME instead of via the public courts to fix this

they were wrong in believing they knew best and the sad part is THEY have not changed
