Hi guys...Yesterday night after watching the episode, I was thinking why I like Maryada so much of all the shows which I watch...Why? Why? Why?... And today I deduced the answer for it.

1. Bcoz Maryada has STORY not TRACKS. Just watch other soaps, they are just based upon tracks...like marriage track, engagement track, pregnancy track..what not! I am not bashing other shows..Just pointing out the difference.Other shows are based on tracks whereas Maryada is based on story and STORIES... are always interesting.

2. As one of our friends in the forum pointed, Maryada is unpredictable. We just do not know what would happen the next epi...infact next moment in the episode is unpredictable.

So these are the reasons I love Maryada. Why do YOU love Maryada? What are your reasons? Do reply..

I love maryada for many reasons:

1. First and foremost, the cast. The cast is amazing, every single character is beautifully shown, Ridhi plays the role of a modern Indian women perfectly, Indrani plays the role of a typical Indian women perfectly. The cast is super talented.

2. The realism. This is not the typical saas-bahu serial. The storyline highlights many problems in our society, it shows how close-minded people really are. How minorities struggle for their rights. The story is also brilliantly written out, it's not incosistent or overdramatic like most serials.

The cast, characters, story, dialouge, music, and realism together make this one of my all time favourite shows.

I like Maryaada because its REALISTIC!!!!!

1) It shows the problems that exsist in anykind of society...i dont know why this show is not a Primetime show!!!! I heard many reasons...like its got MATURE themes...how are the themes Mature when they are the things happening around the society...OR its not suitable for children...I mean u can shield your children from a MATURE/BOLD TV show...but you will never be able to shield them from the real world...where things like this happen!!!!
2) It focuses on things that are different from other shows...like relationships between people or influences of bad people on family...or the importance of trust in a relationship!!!
3) It is a clear example of "DONT JUDGE A BOOK BY ITS COVER"
4) Last but not the least...GREAT CAST!!!! this show deserves AWARDS!!!!
anyway...enough of my rambling...
have a nice Maryaada se bhara week...
:D

1) Different from all other serial theme

2) Casting...Perfect casting and amazing perfomance from each and every1 in the show

3) No lead actor-actress...Every1 getting enuf screenspace

4) Not cliched like saas-bahu drama

5) The courage to upbring social issues. The Gay track was a great twist and liked the way they portrayed it . To an extend maryada made people rethink their attitude about Gays and divorce...Kudoos to the creative team

6) Each episode is Unpredictable ...eg. Uthara killed Rishab...I m sure in anyother it wont happen , wife wil obviously forgive husband

oh, where do I even begin ...

:)

1) The story, as someone very aptly pointed out, is great. It's not comprised of tracks, put one after another, but is based on one integral story.

2) It's like a beautiful book, with different chapters, each one captivating and having a focus that will keep you glued and bring out the sympathetic part of you for the victim, while at the same time make you proud to see how a woman can stand strong in the face of abnormal circumstances. And yet that book has one main focus - one main protagonist and one main antagonist - and what characters they are.

The characters are immensely complex, EXACTLY like the ones in real life. Yet, they live the simplistic lives of the laymen as if there's nothing but an ordinary life and family bliss those closed doors. Exactly like folks in real life.

3) And above all else, it touches issues that happen to US, regular people. Many can relate with at least one character here, if not more.
4) Characters - Such depth and perception in each one.

5) Entertainment - it truly is. Although it's very real, it's also very entertaining. From the romance, to the drama, to the humor, to the love, to the family relationships - all there.

6) Actors - they're just par excellence. They give this show their best, and it shows. From the ones with the least amount of lines to the ones with the most.

7) Excellent attention to details - I've noticed this many times, but they do provide great attention to detail (yes, there are a few faux pas, but I see it less here than anywhere else).

In one phrase - it's a work of art - truly.

I watch Maryada since it is the only show which shows the reality in our present day society. All the episodes are unpredictable and not based on chained tracks . The show not only has given the women the strength but insight into what can happen into one's life as well. As I have already mentioned in one of my posts Maryada is to some extent just another version of my family. Especially Brahmanand Jakhar is just like my dad who is still doing the same , leaving no evidence and misusing his position in the govt.

In short I've watched it from start because of its intriguing and absolutely realistic story.

They r not wasting time on creating unnecessary tracks

In sum serials...it take months and months 2 show wedding arrangement, shopping and all...and unnecessarily get worried over the late coming of panditji...got orange flowers for decoration instead of yellow...sumtyms feels so silly

In maryada big problems also portrayed in such a manner dat audience also thnk its easy 2 face difficult tyms

It's a beautifully intense story, with complex characters. That's why it's easy to stay enthralled. The characterization is so good, you actually feel like you are getting to know the people on a personal level. The screenplay is brilliant and the acting is simply superb. From the main protagonists to the supporting cast, every one's role is etched and played beautifully. The themes covered appeal to me, as they make me think and re-value my own beliefs. In a nutshell, MARYADA is an exceptionally brilliant piece of work...& I hope it goes on to make television history. Kudos to the creators & actors of this fabulous work of art!
