I agree with likarsh...i think uttara is definitely putting on an act...its strange, i feel like, as disgusting as what she did was, she has room for redemption. i feel that dev and the viewers will forgive her if she changes. im loving how three dimensional every character is...what an amazing show. i just cant wait. alsooo i have to add did anyone else get butterflies the way Shubh was looking at Dev today? it was soo cute 😛 😆

Shubh is falling in love with our Dev! 😳 😳

I just love this show and very very upset that its getting over.

Thanks dear you have put it very beautifully.
I was very angry at Uttara when she pleaded Brahma to accept it. But the way you have described changed my perspective. You are so right, if a person is in love then that person especially a women can accept such a filthy man...
hats off to makers!!!! for making Uttara's character so much like real women...
It is such an unpredictable show!!!!!!!!!!! yaar mat khatm karo ise!
But I am not convinced with Adiya's behavior, They should show some little maturity... Arrey baba! even if you love your father and sees him with somebody like his Masi.. then what could be the reaction of son? He is the same guy who doubted his mother. Arrey yaar dance hi kar rahi thi tumhaari Maa na ki Shubh ke baahon me thi...jaise ki Uttara thi Brahma ki bahon me... 😡

Uttara has accepted that Brahma doesnt love her and never will. And now shes out for revenge. In my opinion she wants to let the family know what happened between her and Brahma without any harm coming to her daughter.
Whether Devyani and Brahma divorce or not (they will), Uttara wants the family to know, especially Adi, what sort of a man he is and to stop Adi from putting all the blame on her sister when her sister has done no wrong.
If Imli and Jaggi know then shouldnt Aditya, Gaurav and Vidya also know?
Uttara knows all the differences in the family are happening because of her, Brahma is as much to blame if not more.
Theres a lot of friction between Devyani and Aditya, Bauji and Aditya and Priya and Aditya and now also Aditya and Gaurav. With Aditya being the common factor and he needs to be shown his dads true colours.

All that you have stated is true, and well written. Uttara is, as self-declared, "weak." Although, I might add, I think her weakness at times is her greatest strength. She is wrong, she knows that, and she is also aware of the fact that she will not be able to defuse the rejection she is going to encounter whatever path she treads on. Right now, she is completely vulnerable and looking for shelter - any kind. The faintest hope that BJ might love her weighs greater than the despair and loneliness that awaits at the other side.

Despite that, I felt my own cheeks flush while watching her beg in front of him. Love may be blind, but above anything, a woman is exactly that - a woman. She is defined by how she defines herself. Yes, she is in love, and has been brutally betrayed, but all of this was not sudden. I think internally, she was aware of it a while back, but refused to acknowledge it.

Anyways, "Maryada" is a beautiful show. The characters are so raw, and so is the story... it will be missed.

Cheers,
dc

Thank you everyone for your views - I truly enjoyed reading each and everyone's opinion.
After yesterday's episode (haven't seen today's yet), I'm guessing this show can end two ways:
1. Uttara is out to redeem herself in her eyes atleast. As Priya said, 'itni bhi mat gir jayee ka khud ki nazron mein bhi na uth sakein'. She's trying to rise. There, and she'll succeed in something Devyani and Priya failed at - unmasking BJ. But in doing so, she WILL bring down this house of cards. For good, or for bad, it WILL be brought down if she unmasks him.
2. Dev and BJ won't divorce - BJ will be brought to his knees, and will be told to fix his ways, or else. He won't change internally, heavens no, but he'll mind his ways, and he'll mind Dev. It'll be the opposite now, with Dev calling the shots, and him living in fear that he'll be exposed. But the rest will resume as is.
I'm wondering, is Priya's secret going to come out at all or not. It's not needed now, but I have ALWAYS thought, that out of ALL the secrets, this one will do the most damage. It's one thing to know your father was not loyal to your mother. It's one thing to know he cheated, repeatedly, including with your mom's sister. But if he attempted rape - that's a whole different category.
This will cause an world of bricks to collapse on Adi, AND Gaurav, and Bauji. While Bauji and Gaurav are aware of his ruthless tactics and indecent ways, attempted rape may be beyond what they've imagined also.
And while on that topic, I hope to God it was just attempted. I haven never been able to figure out if anything actually happened or not.
Eitherway, much as I hate to see this show end, I'm soo looking forward to how this will unfold. I'll sooo miss this cast. The PH did an amazing job of selecting the cast. From BJ all the way to Jaggi and Imli, everyone was superb in their roles.
I hope the PH reads this and continues with such ground breaking shows.

Yep - sad but true, isn't it. Very real. I was intrigued by how easily she fell for his lies, but even more so on how EASY it was to make it all look real to her. That's how real life is - lying, and decieving someone is as easy. Kamya portrayed it all very well.
Thanks,

Hello BheegiBasanti,
I'm at a loss, sorry 😳. Not sure who I'm conversing with 😳... but yes, I'm Haya. Do I know you from another forum?
Thanks, and I think she's putting an act too. They won't show it right away, that would make Maryada like the other shows.
But even if she isn't, I think her state is totally believable. Takes a while for reality to sink in, and till then, we make many last attempts to surface out of the shock we're in.
Thanks,
-S
