hey friends... i'm a silent member and i usually don't post here. but today its just because of cheenu and vidya relation i'm writing this. because i wanted to tell the people (who are thinking that vidya and cheenu should be together as a couple) that in our caste cheenu and vidya are like brother and sister. i'm a married woman and my brother calls my sister-in-law didi not bhabhi and vice versa. and its not only in my family, its the tradition in our caste. I was born and brought up in rohtak in a jat family. so what cv's are trying to show is just ridiculous. in my opinion they are just ruining the relationships just for the sake of proving their serial name maryada.

p.s. this is not my pov but its a norm thats why i said a fact. please put your pov why you don't agree and if you don't have any valid point then please refrain yourself from this thread and not to post here. this is my request. also its not necessary that you understand about our norms and traditions and vice versa. i respect your pov also.

Cheenu is not Vidhya's devar. He is brother of Vidhya's devrani.

I don't know much about indian traditions but for me they are not brother and sister. They are not blood related and cheenu called vidya bhabi to give her respect but he never called her sister or said that they think of each other as bro or sis they were always friends. So i have no problem with their relationship. They are not related at all and i guess if gaurav can be gay which is probably not the ideal situation in your family then chinu and vidya can also have a relationship. This is why this is a bold serial because they are not following cultural norms and traditions.

Can't say much about Indian traditions, but i do think that they are not brother and sister, they just call didi or bhabi to give respect!

you are right that they are not brother and sister but they are like brother and sister in our caste thats what i'm trying to say. i just want to convey what happens in our caste. and its not about following cultural norms and traditions its about ruining a pure bond of brother and sister. look i can't comment on any other religion's traditions but i can only tell best abt my religion or my caste. and nobody wants to see "how people can make mockery of relationships of their caste".

if cheenu would have been vidya's devar then things would have been different. but its not like that.

I guess from your caste's point of view it makes sense but wouldnt it be more in appropriate if cheenu was her real devar wouldnt they be closer in relations. It is just that your sis in laws bro looks too far. But i guess the cvs are also thinking from the side that cheenu and vidya dont consider eachother as bro and sis so they cant be.

I dont want caste politics must be given importance in this modern age.

We have Khap Panchayats where they murder for honour. Even Supreme court condemned caste politics severely.

Come out of caste mindset and smell the coffee.

nobody is talking here about caste politics. khap panchayats are wrong when they murder for honour. not only they but the people also who doesn't follow the norms of the society because of which they are murdered. i think you are mature enough to understand that to live in a society you have to follow some norms. you can't do anything just on the name of modernization.

just tell me one question will you marry your rakhi brother? i'm sorry if i hurt you but its just a situation which i'm asking you. so dear i'm not in any type of caste mindset and i very much live in this so called modern world but i also respect my traditions and norms.

There is a huge difference between marrying a rakhi bro and cheenu and vidya situation. In case of rakhi bro u have already accepted them as a brother. For as long as people accept eachother as bro and sis they are but in cheenu and vidya they did no such thing. They are not close related either so their relationship makes total sense.
