Talking about the NGO Raqesh says, "Yes, very soon we will launch a new NGO called Shyamchi Aai which will help the poor and needy children and provide for their education. Riddhi and I are joining hands with my sister to help the underprivileged kids and build a better future for them. We will be sponsoring their school expenses like books, tuition fees and even acting as guardian. We will also try to spend as much time as our shooting schedules allow. Riddhi or I will go for their annual school meetings and keep track of their studies."
How did the idea of setting up of a NGO come about? "Once I heard about a two year old kid requiring urgent medical help as he had a hole in his heart and for his operation, his parents needed a lot of money and they couldn't afford it, as they run a grocery shop. For me, it was quite horrifying and sad, so the thought of helping such needy kids both in their education and health occurred to me. My sister too wanted to help people via a NGO, so we decided to join her. Now we are planning to adopt two children at first and will become their guardian. The details on our NGO are on www.shyamchiaai.org. At first, we will start in Pune and later expand too."
Urging people to do charity, he adds, "We spend two or five thousand rupees eating out or at parties, instead, if we spend the same amount for a noble cause, it will help someone in need. I am just hoping to get positive response from my fans."
We tried calling Riddhi Dogra but she didn't respond to our calls. We wish Raqesh and Riddhi, all the best in their noble venture.
