Me halli serials farshi pahat nahi ani follow tar ajibat karat nahi. Pan madhech ka kunas thauk, You Tube ne suggestion madhe kahi karan nasata Jeev Zala Yeda Pisa cha title song aslela video dakhavala. I really liked the song. When I watched a couple of episodes I really liked them. Serial chi premise mala avadali. I started following this series. Goolpanyachya hero heroines madhe Shiva ani Siddhi chi tikhat chemistry refreshing vatali.
Pan aaj episode pahila ani malach yed laglyasarkha vatala. In today’s episode, Siddhi calls Shiva gunda. Oy vey… Why? I am seriously baffled. Isn’t she the one who is trying to woo him? Isn’t she the one who called him a new leader of the people when he was in coma? Isn’t she the one who was feeling remorseful for all her misunderstandings? Then why in the name of God would you call him a “Gunda”? And frankly right from their wedding, except that Bagawe matter, when did he behave as a “Gunda?” And there she only stopped him and set things straight. She had this huge misunderstanding of him killing Gaurav and molesting that girl (sorry I forgot her name). But now she has realized that she misunderstood. Apart from that whatever Shiva did, burning books, spurning her advances, etc was their personal quarrel. That makes him a bad husband but not a hooligan. (In my definition he is a political hooligan 😊 But I am not here to talk about my definitions. Rather only the characters.)
Yach forum madhe me kuthe tari vachala ki Siddhi ne pratyek veli suruvat keli bhandanachi. Asel. But mazya POV ne, ekhadya mulila uchlun nena ha motha gunha ahe. Hich goshta Shakti Kapoor, Gulshan Grover ni keli ki apan tyana shivya ghalato. Hero ne keli mhanoon ti “chalata hai” nahi hot. It’s a crime. Ani tya gunhyachi shiksha tya mulishi lagna karna hi hotach nai. Asa asel tar mag pratyek kidnapper lagnachya mandapat yeun basel. Tya mule Siddhi ne kitihi bhanadn kela asata, chukichi complaint keli asali, tarihi mala nahi vatat ki Shiva ne kelela chalun jata. Siddhi chi chuk mhanaje Shivacha redemption nahi tharat. But I can still understand. After all, makers have to show some conflict. Nahi tar series pahanar kon!?! Cinematic Liberty..Understood.
Aso. Siddhi ne tyachyavar ragavana ayogya nahi vatala mala. In fact Siddhi ne tya dusrya polictician chya bolnyala fasana pan mala avadala. For me that made Siddhi human. She is not some mahan devi. She wanted to believe that Shiva was bad. She became blind in her hatred. And she totally was conned by the other politician, Narpat Shikre. It was all good.
But once she realized that Shiva was not all black nor was she all white (I believe she realized that after her deception in feeding him doctored sweet), she realized that she was mistaken. She realized that Shiva had a lot of redeeming qualities. I had high hopes that this character of Siddhi will mature. It will grow. She had started realizing that in life it’s never black or white. There are always shades of grey. And in this realization she will bring Shiva out of his inferiority complex. It was clear from day one that Shiva has a very low self esteem. He does not see himself more than brawn. Siddhi will help him see beyond that. Plus their love story will blossom. It will be interesting to see romance between forward Siddhi and conventional Shiva.
I know it’s bound to happen anyway. Of course it will. I also know that commercial angle forces the serial makers to drag the story lines and dilute the milk with water. It’s understandable.
But does that mean the main characters have to behave in such a bipolar way? Yesterday both were chasing each other. Today the heroine calls the hero a hooligan. Hero says, go with your old flame, I don’t care. Seriously?
Is this the problem in the screenplay? Is the screenplay written by different people for each episode? Or is it dialog writing? Dialogs are written by different people? Whatever it is, it’s absolutely jarring.
I as a viewer want to see the continuity in the story, characters, scenes. I deserve that. I demand that. I demand that especially because it is a Viond Lavekar, Chinmay Mandlekar’s serial. They are good creators. They have worked on stage. They are used to telling a story, enacting it in 3 acts of drama. I demand better from them.
Sorry, I ranted so long. I spent precious hours, I should have been studying for, in ranting like this. Kaay karnar? It was unbearable.. 😕
