And back to KDP. Saw the repeat today. Gauri tries to save Amma's face by convincing Shiv that Amma is right in preventing revelation of Gauri's pre-marriage food habits to avoid shocking Dadi. But here too Amma takes it negatively and resents how Gauri is now twisting Shiv around her finger.

Anyway, precap shows Chacha's arrival (maybe at end ot today's episode).

Hope things take a different turn as claimed in one of the promos.

Kamal good to know you are safe. Luckily we left office at 1pm and reached comfortably at home at 2pm and downpour started 3pm onwards..

But.what happened to Vanni ?? where she is stranded ??

Mishkil, we too left at 2PM but I had to wait for my daughter who had to walk down from Mahalaxmi to lower parel. By then the rains were real heavy and not a single taxi was willing to come to the suburbs (fearing they would be stranded in a flooded area). With 25th july experience (I had walked all the way from Kanjur to Mulund), we decided not to take a chance of wandering around looking for conveyance and went straight to the nearest hotel.

Your post about Amitabh's comments on the devastation in Texas compared to Mumbai is so true.

Even their best technology and funds were unable to stop Nature's fury.

With Mumbai's topology I fear that any amount of funds or advanced technology will not be able to stop such one of incidences when Nature's fury is at a peak.

We also tend to blame the Taxis for refusing fares on such occasions but we must understand that if their engines get flooded or something, they will have to spend a fortune to get it repaired and their only source of income will be lost for weeks.

All in all it is best to stay calm and handle the situation as best as we can on such freak occasions.

I appreciate your positivity Kamal. I agree that rather than criticizing authorities we should look at ourselves somewhere. I go to Goa frequently and never heard of water logging there though it rains 1.5 times more than Mumbai. Simply because our cities are so much concretized that there is no soil to absorb water.

Yes Mishkil, concrete jungles / haphazard illegal constructions are one of the main causes but there again comes the problem of influx of people which cannot be stopped.

Anyway, this will be forgottenin a few days till the next crisis comes up.

Friends, I'm fine. Thank you for the concern!! Was bit lazy... taking rest after the hectic day...yesterday...had started from my office at prabhadevi by 7.15pm and could manage to reach our regional office at BKC at 10 pm...started from there at 3.30 am n reached home at 4.30 am!! Today Not ventured out!! Yes the spirit of Mumbai is just great... good Samaritans were out helping the stranded ppl...

I watched KDP episode in train... while travelling back home!! Couldn't hold myself!! Gauri trying to save Amma's face even when she's being targeted by Amma!! But prejudiced, vile amma Takingher perseverance, her positivity as her shaatir dimaag to uplift her image!! Munna could not answer Amma's question...why he needs Gauri to understand his mother!! I have it...this is happening coz... Amma has been treating her son not as her son, but As Gauri's husband!!

The end with phupha's entry... indicates that he's got Chacha's news... To create bavaal in Shukl house for his vested interest!! Bua-Phupha na changla dhadaa shikvala pahije!!

No ticker for KKK n KDP definitely indicate...they are close to finish!!

I'm eager to know which serial will replace KDP!! 9 pm slot. ... will always remind me of KDP!!

Insta post of Sayali suggest she's at Nasik for Gauri celebration... adjustments for her or free time suggesting Gauri has left the Shukls?? Sayali's quite creative... making 'best out of waste, decorating with warli painting n other ideas!!

Today Phupha in action bringing news that Chacha was seen around Benaras with a beautiful young girl. Shukl's shocked and not believing it.

And finally Chacha is brought back by Shiv. Tomorrow will be the revelation of Chacha's story and most likely about his daughter and Kusumlata. So, as we were eagerly awaiting, Kusumlata story will be revealed. I don't know if Kusumlata will be appearing but looks likely that his daughter will be shown.

Expect interesting episodes lined up in the coming days.

Ahh!! That sequence... small one between Shauri was so natural!! The one where Gauri's enquiring about Shiv getting late...n Shiv trying to change the subject...!! Ekdum slice of life!! Cvs n Rishali just do it sooo nicely!! After seeing the two together in Ganesh mandal, ma zee wadi snaps n the ads...Kasam se... that feeling... that they should be together in reality also, has surfaced!!

Why Nisha is soo petrified n has packed bags... didn't get it!! (Due to disturbance...) Aaji cross questioning her well but she slips away!!

The bomb blown by phupha has the Shukls in shock...n everyone wants to know the truth!! N Shiv's found it out quite easily!! IMO kusumlata n daughter will be shown (which actors??) After all, the big picture of Shukl khandaan has to get complete!! It seems, Gauri's goadbharai bhi dikhayenge!! N after 4 months, baby bump can be seen!, Which I dreaded!...of course Pahat rahu KDP!!

I am not sure but, was Shiv wearing the same kurta in yesterday's episode that he is seen in CHYD pics?

And yes Vanni, Shauri portrayal is so realistic. No more those "ultra romantic" ankhon ankhomein scenes but now as a very intense mature couple. Slice of life.
