I am worried for gauri. Doubt whether shiv will stand by her when amma makes her cry khoon ke asoo. Btw there is a custom on mixing boys bath water with the girl bath water it seems

I don't understand why both baba and amma so possessive about their children . it is too much irritating. Baba ka bas chale to shiv ko ghar javai bana le . air amma ka bas chale to shiv ki shaadi na kare . matlab both of them are not thinking ki newly wed couple kya chahta hai. Ab baba shiv ko fir shivya denge that he is aastin ka saap. Udhar amma gauri ki band bajaegi. In sab me shiv and gauri ki ichha ka kya .

<div>What intrigues me is why they chose a youngster to play Dadi. There must be n-number of hindi serial veterans who could have done that role. Although I too have no complaints against current dadi. I have started liking her since the time I know she is progressive and will stand for Gauri.

Suruchi, the KDP story is exactly that! Shiv Gauri happiness is more important than their parent's whimsical and possessive feelings. But Amma and Baba will be made to realise this by Shauri. slowly as the story progresses. Have patience! Maybe Amma will realise it last and then that will be the end of the story. Along with the pain that Shauri will go through initially will be the slow realization of the parents how much the children love their parents. It will be an absorbing story as we watch how Shauri change their parent's views.

Yes, she would have been an "ideal" Amma but IMO she would be having a typical "Maharashtrian" flavor and so I would have prefered someone from the hindi serial world. An unknown face, but actually old, would have been OK.
