Mishkil, but Pant says she is a Kulkarni as well as staying opposite Vasu's hostel so how can they be different? Again Vasu seems to be surprised about the horoscope so obviously it is not the cooked up one prepared by Vasu. It is a bit confusing at the moment about which horoscope has been received by Pant.

Whatever happens in the interim, I feel at the end of the serial, after there is a lot of drama about the false horoscope, they will find that Urmi's real horoscope (maybe preserved by her grandmother) will be a better match with Vasu's than the "cooked up" horoscope made by Vasu. So all is well that ends well.

In the promos, Urmi says no one in their family has their horoscopes. That is hard to believe with her grandmother being such an orthodox lady.

yes, in the very first scene the father of other girl was shown talking to Pant regarding next visit because now horoscopes have matched. He is a different person. What followed in yest's epi was sheer confusion as party group enters Urmi's house. Once again i really wish the supporting cast was better. Also direction is amturish in many places - new director Raju Sawant is actually the one who directed SRGMP seasons. He is in a new territory altogether !

SRGMP = Sa Re Ga Ma Pa? I thought Gajendra Singh directed SRGMP.

Yesterday, because of college gang, the epi looked very amateurish. I now feel that the only people who can really act in this serial are Pant and Urmi followed by his Mom and Vasu. Others are very patchy. The college gang always overacts.

Wonder how the situation will change and how Vasu will be able to substitute Urmi in place of the other Kulkarni girl.

Gajendra singh directed hindi version of SRGMP. I called it amaturish not only yest's epi but overall the way 2 elderly ladies talk and esp. Urmi's mom. We are able to watch this serial only for Urmi & Pant. DId you notice - the voice of hero (Vasu) exactly matches with Sunil Barve's voice and also his speaking style. But he has long way to go in acting department.

Agree! Urmi and Pant are the only two who act naturally. Mai is also quite good. Vasu is making a lot of effort to look natural. I didn't notice Vasu's voice is similar to SB. I will watch it today with that viewpoint.

Mishkil, Are we heading for another typical ZM serial? Unfortunately they have again gone for that typical filmy "slip and fall" into the hero's arms for the first close encounter between Urmi and Vasu. It was not as sizzling as the first encounter in JYRG (though Urmi was quite good with her expressive face).
Another typical "kat karastan" seems to be building up. Ramchandra's wife instigating him. As yet it is OK but only hope it doesn't go down the drain too quickly. It is OK to have grey characters but I hope this does not build into some clash from day one. I still have hopes because the promos show that the atmosphere in the Pant Sachiv house after Urmi - Vasu marriage is positive.
And yes, as you observed, Vasu has that "clipped" talk (with similar lip movements) like Sunil Barve.

Talking about ramchandra & wife - they really do not look like members of Pant family. They look like servants. Is this wrong selection of actors or there is a surprise in future that Ramchandra is adopted son of Pant ?? we have to wait and see.😉

Mishkil, I doubt it. I think Ramchandra is actually the son of Pant. Only thing is they are shown as totally suppressed by Pant. It is the typical "contrast" between Ramchandra and wife and the carefree Urmi. This is likely to be the repeat of NSB family where the elder brother and wife is under the thumb of his parents. I am sure Urmi will try to improve the situation in the household (that will be the main theme I think). I expected the same thing to happen in NSB after marriage of the lead pair. However this has not happened because NSB has become totally Vachhi-centric. Most of the time is being spent on showing Vachhi antics and not of the lead pair.
