Yes, the basic idea is same but I think Urmi is going to convert Pant family in a sweet way (without hurting anyone). Even NSB is supposed to be having the same theme (looking at their earlier promos). Very common idea. The only difference will be if Pant, Urmi, Vasu and Mai are good actors, then they can make it interesting.

The suspense continues. Still not sure who is the girl whose patrika has reached Pant.
Today got to see a slightly different avtaar of Pant. After watching the strict father all these days, it was an indulgent husband which we got to see today. Pant and Mai were very natural as he did some khichai about her eagerness to see her future suun's photo.
The canteen encounter between Urmi and Vasu also was quite good. The more I see of Urmi the more I am convinced she is a spontaneous actress. Her crinkly eyes and crinkly smile are quite endearing and expressive. She is shown to be quite forward and bold and not the typical shy and simpering heroine of serials. Vasu too was good. He has that sincere look on his face which makes this pair look good together.

Kamal - true that Urmi's screen presence is magnetic. Did you not see the girl's father talking to Pant in very first scene ? he is a different person than Urmi's father.

Yes, that white haired fellow was discussing with Pant about the horoscope so obviously the horoscope received by Pant is not that of Urmi. But I think they will pull this suspense for a at least a week. It looked silly that Mai gives the hint to Vasu that the girl is lovely and name is don akshari but can't remember the name. For someone who was so eager to know details of the girl from Pant, she couldn't have forgotten it in a few hours could she?😆

Kamal - when we see Mai, we so much feel the absence of Sukanya Kulkarni who is miles ahead in acting than this lady Meghna vaidya - who is also a veteran. Esp chemistry between Sukanya and Dr. GO was amazing. Dr. GO played a forward thinking modern old man in JYRG and here he is playing exactly opposite - very orthodox and dominating old fashioned husband & father. He is really proving his versatility.

Absolutely no comparison between Suknya and Meghana Vaidya. Sukanya as Mai was on a different level altogether but one of the reasons could be that in JYRG Mai is shown the assertive type whereas here Mai is shown to be very submissive. Dr. GO is really a delight. Did you see yesterday how he subtly changed from a strict unsmiling man to a typical maskari karnara navra when Mai was trying to find more details of the girl whose horoscope was with GO? It was so perfect. Just about correct level of maskari. for the type of person he is playing. That is why I am feeling that the change in him (after Urmi-Vasu marriage) will be shown very beautifully and it will be fun to watch the GO- Urmi interaction. They are both such brilliant actors.

Today again I noticed another lovely actress in the serial. I had observed it earlier too. Vasu's sister's very dignified and controlled argument (no OTT dialogues, no crass music) with Pant about continuing her education was a treat. Again GO was a master of the situation. Right mix of authority, emotion and pain.
The college gang is the only weak point at the moment in the serial.
Looks like Vasu is going to confess his feelings to Urmi tomorrow. From the simple, matter-of-fact reaction of Urmi (no OTT dialogues, just her eyes speaking) I think it is likely to be another good episode.
