I disagree. The reaction of mother and sister is as expected and quite natural as spontaneous especially after experience of Sawarde n wife. This is why it is said aaj ka kaam kal par na talo. Adi-Meg paid for their negligence.

Moreover Desais will be PROUD of aditya's stand through their situation...like Nana said he would have helped the girl and sent her back to her BF...Aditya did the same...and gave her the choice...He acted just as per Desai lessons of life!

I think Mai and Archu reacted the way most mother-in-laws and sister-in-laws would - they are not going to be best pleased after finding out about their daughter-in-law or sister-in-law's past relationship before marriage, and that too accidentally. But "Meghana la maaheri rahoo dey" is just too much. On the one hand they are sympathising with Sawarde's wife, and on the other hand disapproving of Meghana's past. As the saying goes, purra dukkha sheetal astey! In any case Meghana's past love was AD-MD's own personal matter which has been long resolved now.

Mind you, we don't yet know the full context of the situation and exactly what was said, so cannot jump the gun. And Mai is not your typical mother-in-law - she comes across as a very non-judgmental, perceptive woman. I am hopeful that she will handle this situation with the maturity and understanding that it requires.
