RD's wife is maharashtrian and mother too. But father is kannadiga. So he calls himself Kannadiga. Doesn't speak Marathi too well. I have met him. Comparing rahul & tushar only for looks not by nature. There is a distinct similarity in their looks. But ofcourse this is individual opinion - Also i will find similarity between Nishigandha Wad (Devu chi thorli jau in KV) ani Saurav Ganguli's eyes. Pls observe closely. Also between Raja Hassan of Mahamukabla and Bhargavi Chirmule's face - But everyone may or may not agree. I am just expressing my opnion.
