Hi Guys,
I'm just venting here because this track is emotionally impacting me and I need to collect my thoughts. It's a pity how fictional characters can make you feel so attached to them; they're not real, but the emotions they elicit in you are so unbelievably real that no amount of ignoring your thoughts, feelings, or chastising yourself for being dumb for taking a fictional drama seriously work
Krishna Singh Thakur has always embodied pure, unconditional love to me. A man who is distinct not only in presence but also in personality traits, the most appealing of which to a woman is his unconditional love and devotion to the one and only woman in his life, his wife. This is why Meera holds him in such high regard; this is one of his distinguishing characteristics. He is unlike any other husband on ITV; he has a spotless record, and his heart beats solely for his babu. He is nothing without her. Such is his love that in season 1, during the Kriya separation track, he indulged in alcohol to relieve the pain of being separated from his love, and when Pratigya said, "If you love me, you will not drink again," he simply left his only source of comfort at that point, despite being angry with her at her request. There are numerous examples, and if I sat down to write about each one, I'd probably end up writing a book, but another really appealing visual that has stuck with me is Krishna's breakdown and sobs after Pratigya refuses to accompany him after the tanki scene. When Pratigya turns around and looks around, the sight moves her so much that she runs back to him and embraces him. Another instance, Pratigya told Krishna that she couldn't bear a child, and his love and support completely captivated me; his words, "Humre paas humra babu hai, aur kucho nahi chaiye humka," are still fresh in my mind. Pratigya had put her faith in him, knowing that even though he knew she was flawed, he would always love support her no matter what, and he delivered. Let's not forget the previous Meera who entered his life, claiming to love him and displaying the same passion and craziness that he had for Pratigya, but he considered it taboo and never glanced in her direction. He threatened her out of his life when he saw her potentially interfering with his martial bliss. Kriya like every other couple aren't flawless, but they are soul mates. Krishna having the slightest feelings for any other woman would be so out of character and unlike the Krishna we have seen and known thus far. Meera may fall in love with Krishna, but Krishna will never love Meera or any other girl other than Pratigya. Krishna's love and passion for Pratigya will never diminish in its intensity and this is what had made the character so memorable and popular.
To cut a long story short, I have a lot of faith in Krishna. If we go by the character graph, I wouldn't have a fraction of a percent fear of Meera. However, I'm concerned about the producer's intention to generate drama, which could end up harming Krishna's image. If the writer is still Pearl Grey, and the script is in her hands, I hope she realizes that she cannot easily erode the strength of the character she has developed.
I sincerely hope Krishna stays true to himself until the very end of this track!!
