Karan seemed to be so against adoption, how come he can suddenly turn up with a kid...if he did decide to adopt, he would have gone to an adoption agency with his wife/family right?

Yes, it is obvious now... Bcos Karan was dead against adopting a kid which was not his.. Suddenly, from nowhere, he brought a kid, saying this is the kid for Shaina...

The thing is, will the family not ask him, about the identity of the kid? Whether he had legally adopted the kid or not? If so, then why was Shaina not aware of it? How can an adoption be possible without the mom giving consent? These are few questions that the writers have probably forgot to answer...

In any case, this is urely Nanda's kid, no doubts about that....
