Pls share source if you remember.

I don't believe in reincarnations, so I'm assuming Kashyapa just meant the head of the clan at the time.

This incarnation theory hasn't much to do with chronology, it's simply about giving Kashyap Aditi the parentage to all Vishnu Avtars who had parents (wonder how they bring this angle in Parashuram Avtaar)

Vasus were Kashyapa's sons by Daksha's wife/daughter Asikni.

Drona Vasu (Nandagopa) would be brother to Pratyusha Vasu who fathered Narada.

Ie, Krishna and Narada were foster cousins.

Since vasus were many generations before Krishna, I'm going to assume Nandagopa was born in the Drona Vasu clan.

Are these Vasus different from the Vasu group to which Bheeshm is supposed to belong to?

Could Devrat n NandBaba be somehow related?

Ashta vasus in vedas are eight elemental forces of nature.

dhara/ drōṇa /Prithvi - Earth (minerals)

dhruva - polestar (direction / soul)

soma / dōṣa - moon (gravitational force)

āpa/ vibhavasu / varuna - water

anila /prāṇa / Vayu - air

anala / agni - fire

pratyūṣa / arka - (sunlight)

prabhāsa /vasu / akasa - space

Puranas anthromorphised them to 8 sons of Dharma born to his wife Vsu Dakshayani.

I did not realize Ganga, w/o Shanthanu, also belonged to Pururavas clan.

https://www.sacred-texts.com/hin/vp/vp099.htm

PURÚRAVAS had six sons, Áyus, Dhímat, Amávasu, Viśwavasu, Śatáyus, and Śrutáyus 1. The son of Amávasu was Bhíma 2; his son was Kánchana 3; his son was Suhotra 4, whose son was Jahnu. This prince, whilst performing a sacrifice, saw the whole of the place overflowed by the waters of the Ganges. Highly offended at this intrusion, his eyes red with anger, he united the spirit of sacrifice with himself, by the power of his devotion, and drank up the river. The gods and sages upon this came to him, and appeased his indignation, and reobtained Gangá from him, in the capacity of his daughter (whence she is called Jáhnaví) 5.

Read the entire transcript, the description does match that of Draupadi. But she is not mentioned as someone important in Sreemad Bhagwatam, HV am not sure.

Considering Drupad needed someone to kill Drona, would Nand/Yashoda's son be interested in it? Brahmhatya isn't something many would like to do afterall.

Anyhow the girl swapped with infant Krishna couldn't be this girl for sure, she couldn't be saved by wrath of Kans in anyway

Nanda/Yashoda's son might be interested if his parents were dead. Which I think they were since Krishna never returned. Does it fit Krishna's character that he never did if the old couple were alive?

@ Bold. No baby could be saved from wrath of Kamsa who was a grown man. Plus, she grew up in Mathura, which meant eh could've killed her anytime he wanted. He didn't.
