It says that bhudha was sutasoma - bhim drau s son in previous birth

I know this story, bodhisattva means a person who chose to live after attaining Bodhi for other people. It's said Bodhisattva was born probably because the person knows the entire story. Even Dr. B R Ambedkar/ Samrat Ashoka are termed as Bodhisattva, doesn't mean they were a rebirth too but simply because he attained a wisdom that is unbiased.

Logically speaking all Buddhas get same knowledge probably because there's only one truth, there's no need to be reborn and to go through all those trouble again. Thus they're different people. The texts were written (very later in time) just to guide other people.

Thanks. Wow that s good so sutasoma attained unbiased wisdom. I am sure his parents would have been proud of him

But i don't think vyasa mentions anything about it why though ??

Yes totally, 😃 BTW just to be clear that doesn't mean they did it on their own they could have acquired help of learned sages or people who could have been on similar path... Just like students passing grades to attain a degree😛

I still don't understand why the person thought MB a interpolation though. Brahmanical/ Islamic strategies/influence is a debatable topic today but certainly not in context of MB😆

Yeah but i guess everyone has a different outlook

Though it is such a yudhishtra thing to do i am sure sutasoma was influenced by papa yudhishtra more than papa bhim. 😆

Yes. That's the reason why this andhe ka putra andha narrative came in. Also, extreme glorification of Karna.

Also, Yudhishthir there is so annoying.

Rupa is, IMO, a better actress than Pooja. Too bad they didn't give her a decent characterization. Actually, they didn't give Pooja a decent sketch either, but her chemistry with Saurabh was off the charts.

Somehow, creative types feel the need to cut Panchali down to size to prop up the men.

In BRC, Krishna reprimands both Arjuna and Panchali about how great Karna is whereas the real Krishna swore he'd kill Karna. Not to mention the andhe ka putr and suthaputr comments.

In Star, Panchali was lectured by Krishna on how common man would be treated if SHE, the empress, could be assaulted. In text, it was Panchali doing the lecturing. In Star, Panchali mouthed those inanities about destiny. Dhrishtadyumna reprimands her! In text, she was so pragmatic she was accused of being an atheist by Yudhishtira. In Star, she made huge speeches on how she could not marry a sutha and equated them to demons and monkeys and such. In text, suthaputr comment was not simply an interpolation, even the interpolated comment was limited to her not wanting to marry one.

Neither show portrayed her as the working empress she was.

I think karna and arjuns enemity started when he was denied to participate in the competition

Than Karna went to draupadi sawyamwar

In draupadi swayamwar he went to pick the bow when draupadi said she will not marry suth putra only a prince or a brahmin

Arjun gone in disguise of brahmin

In that swayamwar some of karnas sons are killed by arjun and his brothers
