Is showing your devil side with words & actions the right way always? I understand during the Dyutsabha as it invited extreme reactions..

But Bheem was always more than ready with his words/action in all cases..

Do we really believe that was what Draupadi wanted?

I feel no though it will be nice to have your opinion about it as well..

Also, one more question did the draupadi - satyabhama conversation really happened? Do you believe flirting with each other's partners was one of the topics they happened to mention in jest..

Nice to see you Amritat after along time.To some extent I agree with you.Yes Bheem's concern for Draupadi is unconditional.He is there for her always everywhere.But I don't go by Dk serial and hate it . The Epic itself gives enough evidence for Bheema's love for Draupadi. As per Draupadi,she acknowledged Bheem's feelings a nd responded by showing her regard and affection.Asfor love,I am not sure about it.Interestingly whenever she is with Bheem,she speaks about Arjun, be it before kichakvadh,Inthe forest during the fight of Bheem with yakshas or in the kamyakaforest ...Vedvyas particularly conveyed where her heart lies.i would like to quote Iravati carve in Yugant...She had treated all the five alike.Perhaps the mind could not be killed completely.Actions could be made equal But could the same amount of love be measured to all the five?If she loved Arjun more what was astonishing about that? I agree with the statement hundred percent. As for Arjun satya,equation it was very funny to read Indrajit Bandopadhay. Draupadi Satyabhama samvad which shows the flirting thing.But the Epic did not throw light on that at all.The single scene in Udyoga Parva where Sanjaya sees the four of them together spending in privacy may give reason to believe they enjoyed Each other's company a lot .The way Arjun holds krishna's feet on his lap and Arjun's feet on Panchali and Satya's lap looks interesting . May be they are the cosy foursome enjoying together.

If we go through vana Parva Arjun appears calm and composed but we can compare him not with the cool Himalayan ranges but with a volcano about to explode.We can't think that he is passive towards Draupadi's predicament but he is the type who silently suffered with a wound in heart which can not be healed except with revenge.Krishna in udyoga Parva mentioned how his Parth can not forget the abusing words of Karna to his wife.But the problem is he is not vocal like Bheema who expresses himself too well and made an impression that he only cared for Draupadi.Rather Arjun is a man of action who can face any rigorous ordeal to achieve his goal.His severe penance on the dangerously chilled Himalayas gives ample proof for this.It is not like three forth of his penance is done by yudhisthir and one forth only is left for Parth to please siva.,as written by some of our revered great writers of the forum.Ved Vyasa never said any such thing.Pratismriti is given through dharma raj. That's all.Arjun did his own penance.and pleased siva by his valour which is the most important thing as one who takes pasupatha should be a worthy warrior.

I tend to agree more because this goes with my belief that only worthy succeeds..

Even when he is in heaven,Arjun thought of his wife and brothers in the forest.He is Amanda on mission.More than that he never has any thing to do with heaven.He asks Lomash Maharishi to tell his family about his welfare.In his heart of hearts he knows how much Draupadi misses him.He would have never forgot her words when he is about to leave for penance.Draupadi considered separation from him more painful than her insult at Dyutsabha. Vanaparva describes the way he presented his ornaments brought from heaven to his dearest wife.Priyaayai,sutasomamaatayai...There is no such instance which can show his indifference towards Draupadi.None at all...

Arjun's censure of Yudhishtir throws light on the fact that he nourished deep wound regarding the sharing of Draupadi which obviously mirrors his heart. I would like to elaborate it briefly so that it becomes easier to grasp the heart of Veda Vyasa,the master poet who can convey the deepest meaning by using one word. Yudhishtir faces horrible defeat at the hands of karna and retires to his tent.Arjun along with Krishna visits him but becomes the victim of harsh words coming from his saint like brother.When Yudhishtir crosses limit by asking Arjun to give away his Gandiv,Arjun loses control and rises his sword to kill his Eldest.For,he has to keep his vow of killing the person who asks him to part with his Gandiv.Krishna pacifies him and advises him to blame Yudhister and insult him as it is equal to death.Yadavamaanam. Lab hate , mahantam jeevanmrita ityuchyate. Arjun follows krishna's word and starts his censure of his Eldest brother. ..o,king,passing time two miles away from the battle field ,you have no right to blame me.Bheema,the hero of the most difficult feats,has the right to upbraid me.But not you who should be protected always. I strive hard to do good to thee,with my soul,sons and wives.Still you are not satisfied.You pierce me with your harsh words.We cannot expect anything from you. Lying on Draupadi's bed,you insult me...It was because of you we lost our kingdom.Our calamity arose from you.Do not provoke our wrath. Aavamanstha ma'am Draupadi Talpa sansthe...This was the crucial word used by Vyasa to indicate his frustration,pain for Sharing Draupadi,anger for the soul reason of their ordeals,Yudhishtir.
