I have read a part of this poem...Its very heartwrenching...

However I disagree with this thought that she was 'not a mother'...
I have come across various people who think Draupadi was not a great mother...
But I really want to ask 'Is there any proof she wasnt?'

If a woman can love her stepson Abhimanyu so much, which Ved Vyas does hint at, during Abhimanyu's killing...then how come she didnt love her own biological sons enough? She had sent her sons to war bcoz thats how Kshatranis were trained from childhood...they were mentally prepared for this...That does not necessarily imply that she was not a loving mother... 😭

When I saw the first episode where she had the audacity to accuse her Draupadi i was spitting fire!!
I mean this "lady" was the root cause of all Draupadi's problems and she dares accuse her!!

I know right? Shakuni was the mastermind behind the game but it was her husband who staked her!!
At most she can accuse him of cheating her husband(s) with loaded dice...but I don't think that will carry much weight! Am curious now as to what the serial's take on this one is!

I guess this is one more in a long list of faults that is attributed to Draupadi *sigh*
Of course, like you said she was a wonderful mother...if she could love Abhimanyu and Ghatodkatch so much why wouldn't she have been a good mother to her sons!!

Maybe the poem is alluding to the fact that she did not get to spend too much time with her 5 sons?

All these people speak in such cryptic terms and have such ambiguous endings and people are ready to jump and think the worst of her at the drop of a hat!! I mean there is a limit to poetic license too!!

@Meself - I looked up that poem by Amreeta Syam , the book is there online but there are no reviews posted at all...

Someone had posted a part of it long time back...
I dont remember who but I have seen these lines before...
