I have a question was karna defeated in drupada war

and also when did karna leave drona and went to parasurama, if only for brahmashira then Arjun would have been only boy then coz Karna was elder to him for atleast 7-10 years. So did Arjun squire brahmashira already, this always confuses me and that Bheem defeating karna part too though I feel Bheem n karna was equal but if Karna is defeated for several times what was the point of waiting till he gets disarmed to kill him

Which war you're referring to, the war soon after Panchaali swayamvara? In that case he was not defeated. He himself stops fighting when Arjuna lies he was only a Brahmin, not disguised Arjuna!

There are two thoughts on Karna's studies. Anyhow, he, for sure was not trained under Drona along with Arjuna & others in HP.
One half thinks he was trained under Drona, before he reached HP to teach the princes and Karna went to higher studies under Parashurama after Drona rejects teaching him about higher weapons.
The other half, including me, thinks Karna studied only under Parashurama because Drona completely rejected him.
Karna was at least 9 years elder to Arjuna. So Arjuna was too younger to be taught along with him.
There are four instances I came across when Karna was weak in fight. First during the war after Draupadi swayamvara where he was not defeated, he himself stops fighting. Secondly, during Rajasuya of Yudhi when Bheema is said to have defeated him (which I reject for various reasons). Third, during the Vana vasa, when he was drunk, Gandharvas imprisoned Dury. Fourth in Virata war again when he runs away & the reason is not clear. Many people are of the opinion that Virata war is a later interpolation. Also in Virata war, karna never used divine weapons even when Arjuna showered them against him. I wonder why?
In short, Karna was never defeated under normal conditions, in my opinion. But he had ran away twice for unknown reasons, but clearly he was not afraid to fight. Parashurama had blessed him that no Kshatriya equals him in war! That leaves me confused at many points. Something has to be false somewhere.

Yeah. One Karna was defeated there. But it is not clear which Karna was it. There were two Karna's among Kauravas, one elder to Vikarna and one younger to him and also another name of Yuyutsu was Karna. It is not specified whether it was Radheya who got defeated there. I think Karna had no need to fight against Drupada as I think he was no student of Drona. Since Parashurama had blessed Karna that 'no Kshatriya would be equal to you in war' it was impossible for Drupada to defeat Karna.

why do you reject to believe Bheem defeated karna and during vanvas he alone was fighting but gandharvas were uncountable in no. It was some magic or trick of them the more karna killing them more they were coming at last karna got tired due to intoxication and realized he doesn't have that magical power to fight them hence he left I read it from thewatcher citation in karna at and also watcher said in virata war it was not clear they were fighting Arjun coz of brihannala get up they only doubted so karna restrained himself from fighting full force with a transgender

but why do u believe karna was not trained by drona even after citations? this drupada war always is a mystery to me if he was defeated so easily he couldn't have lifted the bow which great warriors couldn't do and also in kurukshetra drupad easily could defeat him no?no need was for Arjun to wait till 17th day

Because the reference of Bheema defeating many kings for Rajasuya clearly states either the dynasty or geographical features of the particular country even if the King's name is missed. But only Karna's name is a misfit there. Neither his country (Anga) is mentioned nor him being a king is said. Only his name is mentioned which is an exception in the group. All other country names around Anga except Anga is there. Anga being the most prominent country of that time, one among the 16 Mahajanapadas, is not something which can be neglected easily. Even the negligible Mlechcha kings who lived on the seashore are mentioned in detail. And missing the most prominent kingdom of the east, Anga, is suspicious there. Hence I believe Karna was not defeated by Bheema.
