I hope so too, but if Aham tweeted that his role is over, I don't see how they can show Karna. If they did show him, I'd like to show him as appearing b4 them in a divine form and in a more cordial setting, but those would then have to be new scenes, and Aham would have to be there to enact them.

Or would Aham have pre-shot such sequences b4 leaving Umrangaon?

The author who first came up w/ Vrishaketu - Rishi Janemaya - was a disciple of Vyasa & a contemporary, so there is a good chance that Vrishaketu existed. Had it been a Kalidasa or a Ramdas, one could have dismissed it as literary creativity, but since it was someone who lived at the time, it could well have happened.

Nandini, to answer your question, in Janemaya's book, since the Pandavas had lost all their sons and were appalled to find out that they had killed their brother, they took Vrishaketu under their protection. Arjun taught him archery, and he was involved in 2 expeditions of theirs. The first one - he accompanied Bhima & Ghato's son Meghavarma to get the Ashwamedha horse from a king, and did his bit to help capture the horse. Later, when Arjun accompanied the horse, he went as Arjun's understudy on his campaign. In the battle w/ Babruvahana, first he fought the Manipur ruler, and then Arjun did. Both of them were killed by Babru, and both were revived by Krishna (rather than Uloopi, who in the Vaisampayana account revived just Arjun, since there was no Vrishaketu there)

However, what happened to Vrishaketu after the yagna is not known. Incidentally, about the theory that someone w/ a Suta mother couldn't ascend the throne - I think that the rule was that someone w/ a Suta mother would have the lowest priority. So in case of Dhritarashtra & Vidura, the former was considered worthier due to his higher birth. But in case of Vrishaketu, since Karna had no kshatrani wives, any son of his would have been his inheritor.

Thanks Vrish you had narrated this story somewhere else too most probably in mytho forum that's why I knew. I wanted to know the details like didn't Vrishketu feal a little antagonistic towards his chachas initially??? And how the ice was broken???

But I am sure Maharishis of our great epics didn't go into emotional details

I guess we can discuss Vrishketu on this AT
