From what I've learnt one can fix the date in which a book was written without much difficulty. And for two different opinions about the same thing, always the opinion from older book will be considered as correct. It is impossible for a single person to write different versions of a mega epic like Mahabharata in one lifetime. When Mahabharata is considered, the oldest version dates back to roughly bet 1000-600bc. I've not read this book. But I've read books and articles based on it. From what information I've read, this book doesn't have the part of Karna insulting Draupadi. It was added to later versions, probably to justify killing him in Mahabharat war. It also doesn't have the part of Draupadi verbally insulting Duryodhana in Indraprastha. She just only laughed and many people laughed when he fell in water. So I wait for a much older version to prove this wrong. Until then, I choose to think Karna did not insult Draupadi. Now I'm devoid of energy to type. I'm very sorry if whatever I wrote is wrong. I'm not in touch with latest informations due to lack of time. 😊

I've not thoroughly read any books in particular. Also original books are rarely available. No one cares to understand something difficult when simple versions are available. Most books that are available today are probably periodically edited at some points. I only have some general ideas, not deep ones. I'm very poor in case of Mahabharata other than what I've heard from others or articles I've read.
