I voted for the 1st option. Without his Kavach also he was invincible. May be he had to struggle more if he wasn't the son of Sun. BTW! He achieved everything on his own merit. Duryodhan gave him Anga not valour.

it was like a masala movie entry, hero enters on his chariot ( And I am sure they will play his BGM ), and rubs sand on his forehead, SP surely likes some masala even in the worlds greatest epic.

Actually, it question isn't really about Kavach, its about his powers and divinity, being a son of god surely transports some of the divinity and powers.

I edited my post a bit. I know its not about his Kavach. Actually I wanted to say that Kavach was given by Suryadev so that also made him powerful. If he was not Sun's son then surely he would not get Kavach which made him invincible. He had to struggle more. That's what I want to say
