I, too, believe in Lord Krishna and the Pandavas. However, I am talking not only about the existence of the characters, but also about some age-old debates, whose answers, we will never find.

The fact that Mahabharat itself is so mysterious at times, has made it so popular. Mystery always has an enigma to it, and arouses curiosity. I honestly loved ur post. It doesnt even matter wheteher it happened or not. What matters is that our saints have tried to put forth a few messages, and shown us the path we need to follow in our lives, and probably it was done so in the form of a beautiful story to make it interesting. I mean who doesnt like stories. SO yes, for me, the messages given out by Mahabharat are important.😃

Thanks.
And I agree with u. 😊

Really?
People hear cries? And die at night? 😲
I didn't know about this before.
Maybe, the war did happen. Who knows?
But I guess, such mind-boggling details cannot be just a work of fiction.

I am not saying that they do hear voices n screaming n all coz I don't have a first hand account of it like someone who experienced. But its a very common story they tell tourists who visit the place. Plus the place is shut down for visit after sunset. That's what I have heard . not sure. Something like this is exactly what they tell u when u visit jalianwala baug (wrong spelling I guess) but the place in Punjab or haryana where a meeting took place n the British had opened fire (pre independence) . so that also has this rule where no one is allowed to enter after evening coz ppl hear screaming n all.

Plus its not that anyone dies or something really but they say they won't survive so its like no one will wana try. Get the point? So they say ppl who spend the night hear voices n go insane or get an attack because obviously that's creepy. But again if anyone does try this and even if its pin drop silence n u hear some natural voice like a bird flying or a cat meowing or whatever (and that person has heard these stories) he would anyway freak out n get a heart attack.

I hope u understand I kind of went off topic :p

BTW yes I always like to believe Mahabharata did happen

Not only Vyas depicted ALL possible scenarios of a lifetime of common man, we must not overlook some of the greatest visions he had which was beyond anyone's imagination .. Talking of some are :
1. Sanajay describing whole War to Dhriti - Television + Radio ..
2. Dealing with the Third Sex at that socio-economic time of India ..
3. Scientific explanation or method of having Solar Eclipse..

Just to name a few .. Ved Vyas was, is and will always be a star of ALL age and time.. None can match him ! Someone who thinks of writing about the contemporary situations as well as leads to some of the richest futuristic visions ever !
