actually one warrior fighting many warriors was a normal thing in the war arjuna,karna,bheeshma and many other warriors did it so even i was confused as to why Abhimanyu's case was different
so some one in this forum only explained that since it was a chakravayuh if a warrior gets defeated at one gate of the chakravayuh he isn't allowed to back inside again whereas in Abhimanyu's case the kaurav warriros breaking this rule all went inside the chakravayuh and attacked him.Which why it was wrong and against the rules of the chakravayuh.
I am no expert on chakravayuh's so not sure if this theory is right or not but it seems logical to me
