I would say he never expected glory he has done his duty in such a way that it fetched him glory...He was never thirsty for glory...This reminds me of Ranchos dialogue in three idiots success ke peeche may bhago ...try learning things and expanding knowledge success khud tumhare peeche bhagagi...It is inspired from Arjunas life his inquisitiveness and thirst to learn new things nd gain knowledge made him an immpeccable warrior...Thus I salute him he is my inspiration.
