mr. vikas khatri, your efforts are noble in my view, but, a cople of questions rises in my mind, have you read vyasa's mahabharat or anyother versions of it? or are your views about mahabharat based on the much celebrated televised version made by dr. b.r. chopra?

I guess nowhere has Star Plus mentioned that they are following Ved Vyas Secondly please read a disclaimer it always says that the Characters are Fictional so no one can actually raise a question unless they show some adult content in any manner!!! so please everyone who thinks Star is doing injustice to the epic please read the disclaimer there are thousands of variations in mahabharata so and no one no one knows whats the truth!!

Actually, The channel does not claim that they are following Ved Vyas MB.

And exactly what according to you is Ved Vyas MB?

Original sanskrit texts are translated in at least 3 unabridged version in India.
Other two are foreign.
They might be following all translations and different variations and versions, a mix up of KMG, Critical Edition, RM, Cambodian and Indonesian and also others like Jaya, Ajaya, Palace of Illusion and all other novels there are ... and you can't really do anything about it.

Since they do not claim that they strictly follow whatever according to you is original.

The old BRC MB too did not follow it actually so ...

All those who questioned this post, why did creative team did not show what Gandhari was shown saying yesterday. Didn't they edit it. This creative team has no idea about facts of Mahabharat and have committed serious mistakes which is proving costly and is turning away those who have read stories on Mahabharat, seen previous versions and feel all the great work done by this team is being let down by poor work on characters such as Vidur,Bheeshma, other Pandavas except Arjun,Karan ad atlast Gandhari in particular. Fact that yesterday's line were edited and not hown today proves someone took case of creatives to ensure there is no back clash.

I am impressed by your replies. Few are simply responding without understanding what I am trying to highlight. No one has read Ved Vyas version and it is creative team's responsibility to justify and prove on what basis they are assassinating Gandhari's character. Are they considering natural reaction or there is some base for such a potrayal. I did not claim I have read Maharshi Vyas version, but I have certainly read books on Mahabharat, have heard pravachans on Mahabharat,(Chopras version is also a reliable version if one feels this team is also reliable. All I am trying to say is, this creative team have not justified characters of Bheeshma,Vidur,Karan,Pandavas except Arjun and Gandhari in particular. You read anything related to Mahabharat, you will find consistency and minor deviations in character explanations. No one has manipulated or ignored important characters like this team has. There is major deviation which is turning off viewers. For proof check TRP's

Story, character distortion has been one of the main concern in this forum. We have a special thread too. Where all such views are collected in 1 thread, so they don't get lost.
Feedback to CVs thread- Story distortion#2
Most of us have grown up reading various stories about this epic. We have some idea, know, understand them & do get disappointed when the same is shown in a different manner. It's good to discuss such pts in a constructive mannner. So the original version retains it's sanctity. At least by discussing here many will know the difference between this show's & Scripture's version.

@vikrant well there you go, she is just being a nice mom who worries.
And if they had made her shadier all you have to do is study indo and especially kerala mahabharat.
Gandhari was involved in lac house conspiracy and tried to poison a pregnant kunti, taught her children to hate pandavas and what not.
Clearly the makers have not gone in that direction.
