Blaming the women for everything.
5000 years ago, when Draupadi was molested, people said that she was outspoken, insulted Karna n laughed at Duryodhan n hence got disrobed.
Now people say, women wear short clothes, go to parties at night n that is y they get raped.
So, even today, this mentality exists that ONLY WOMEN WILL REMAIN CAREFUL, only women will remain submissive, only women will be cultured.
BUT THE MEN...THEY WILL NEVER CHANGE.
And what is even more horrifying is that some WOMEN support this idea as well.

Yes indeed such people exist who try to blame women for the same... Well why should always women follow culture and rules...Arent there any rules for men? its hypocrisy that they try to see fault in women only... Nothing justifies the behavior towards draupadi.. neither of those who participated in it...nor of those who silently watched along helplessly...

very well said, completely agree

Completely agree with you. And,besides these points they say what was she doing at so and so place at so and so time? Why blame the victim? Why don't people blame the culprit and punish them? Why only women should stay away from certain place and why not the men?

Many thousand years ago.. She was dragged across like an animal... She was insulted and forced upon while many just watched silently ...Those cries went unheard... those pleas went in vain... when a man crossed all limits in his revenge ..and others just laughed upon the helplessness of a woman..

Many years after... that woman still exists...pleading in society...begging for justice...begging for her protection...and still many just look on... and stay silent...
There are still beasts around which try to cross all their limits with women..and while many just stay silent in name of tradition...
My tribute to that woman who never surrendered...but fought hard for her honor...for her self respect...
Just a heartfelt post for saddest part in Mahabharat... when humanity was lost ...and even most righteous ones... just remain mere spectators... such incidents even happen today..and while draupadi finds Krishna as her savior... Unfortunately for many others..there is no escape..

There is an escape, we should call krishna for helping us he will definitely help everyone, he is always ready we never call him seeking his help. When we are in some emergency situation our mind never works because we think that we are the one who does everything , that attitude should change and in turn it invokes the spirituality within ourselves, which will make our brain work to call krishna and one step ahead are the persons who always remain in touch with krishna and by that they wont get any emergency situation at all in their entire life...

This has been running since time immemorial. Even before Mahabharat happened...Sita had to undergo similar ordeals in Rmayana. Women have always faced these humiliations...in the form of Sita, Draupadi or even after thousands of years...as Nirbhaya. Its the same situation whether then or now.
This episode of Mahabharata has always been shameful and disgusting. A woman who has been put forth by her husband as a bait in a dice game...followed by an attempt to disrobe her by her brother in law in front of her 5 able husbands...father-in-law...grandfather...and all seniors. It brings tears to my eyes...seeing the ordeal she had to face. Nothing in the entire universe can justify this animosity.
I have never understood "Dharma"...the most important "Dharma" of a husband is to protect his wife's honour...so why is Yudhisthir called "Dharmaraj"...anyways I am too ignorant to question philosophy...but I really dont understand it.

Arjun--Excellent bow man--cant save draupadi
Bheema--Immense strength--cant save draupadi
bheeshma---the best of all among those persons in hastinapur--cant save draupadi

after knowing that nobody can do anything to save her, she called krishna and krishna responded beautifully,

Moral of the story: whenever u are in emergency call krishna

but to make that as an habit is difficult, it requires immense devotion towards krishna

Truly said Riti . Draupadi was a tad bit lucky to have found her Krishna.. But many Nirbhaya's don't get even a peacock feather .. And the worst part is people the so called society judge those who are agonised n not those who force them . People judge victims so conveniently taking their clothes n behaviour as a base . Those who are supposed to help you torment you even more ...
Saddest part is those people who are ready to cut anyone or get cut themselves in the name of sanskriti, parampara and purana , so conviently forget this MAHABHARAT.
And trust me history will repeat itself ...

because they are not taught to improve their devotion towards krishna, tell me one thing, how many people here in this world believes presence of god?? every child born in this world should know that there is krishna who takes care of his bhaktas very well and that knowledge should come from the parents , in these days nobody knows anything about krishna and everyone of us is trying to earn money , sleep well , eat well thats it. we should change that , we should know that there is krishna who can help us in every situation..

Okay u said that people forget Krishna .. Then why are the temples across India are still running ?? It is a father's responsibility to protect his children and also punish them for their mistakes .. I believe Krishna is our father and we are his children . Not everyone in this world an atheist dear . People do love Krishna dearly and are completely devoted to him . Why does he not protect them then ?? How can he see such wrong happening with his own daughters ???
