I think it has to do with the law. There really isn't any more "fear" left in the breaking the law. Even if you get the death penalty, you get to wait in a line until it's your turn and it's done so nicely you won't even feel a thing. If you go to jail, you get a free home, free food, and can do whatever you want. Sure the conditions aren't clean, but who cares if everything is free. As a bonus, if you're extra good, you get to come out early!!

Maybe I'm too much of the ancient times, but I would bring back fear into the law so every criminal thinks a billion times before doing something. Rapists or molesters won't be put into jail. That's a waste of tax money ... cut of their fingers, tongue, private part, toes, and any other part that was used in harming the victim and throw them on the street. Sadly, the greatest drawback of this is that innocent people may suffer too, but if we can have a proper governmental infrastructure that's free of corruption and we have people who speak the truth ... things might be better. Heck, there would be a punishment for lying (unless they are lying because of a greater threat) like cutting off their tongue ... it's a more rough, 'uncivilized' fashion, but I've had enough of what this so-called civilization has brought to the surface.

Woah ... that was dark. On a happy note - what's cheese that's not your cheese? Nacho Cheese!!! 😆

True, but I think the relationship with Krishna depends on the person. For some, Krishna is their child (like Nanda Maharaj and Yashoda Mata); for others he is a friend (like Arjun and Sudhama), while others see him as their master (and they the servant), others think of him as God and they the devotee, or see him as a father and they the child. However, the topmost relationship one can have with God is that of conjugal bliss (like Srimati Radharani and the Gopis of Vrindavana).

Bottom line however is that no matter "which" Krishna you call out too, if you call out with love and devotion, he will come. 😛

My first post in MB forum...
You are right. I was watching this episode and my feelings ranged from anger to utter disbelief to extreme sadness and I don't know if the tears I had were out of anger or sadness...They all just watched. Did nothing.

What has changed today?

Nothing.

This world was never meant for women. We fight against all odds to make a place in this highly male dominant society. Be it at home, at work, in the lives of boyfriends, husbands, or children.

Draupadi is one woman every woman today has to look up to. She is the best woman I have EVER heard of.

This Mahabharat, I like!!! No wonder it is doing well because it has shed light to certain aspects we have never seen before. All was not hunky dory in Mahabharat. Just because it was not shown by previous shows does not mean it was not there. If everything was ok, there would have been no partition, no vastraharan, no war. All was not well at that time.

Nice post!!!👏

Riti,

Started watching this serial recently. But loved Drapudai and was moved so much by the character, i watched all the episodes from her entry.

I have heard, read and even seen Mahabahart serial (old one).,was very much aware of the story. But after watching this new Mahabharat, I was so much moved by DraupadiShe had to go through so much of pain whoel through her life.

First her father not accepting her as she was a girl.

How painful would it have been to marry 5 men.

What she must have undergone we can even imagine.

Her sacrifice, her will her courage.. salute this women.

My hear went during the scene when Kunti asks her son to share.

when Arjun asks her to marry Yudi.. the questions she asks

The conversation between Krihsna and herself just before marriage.

She is not sure if its right or wrong. She just wanted to her from Govind, that she is right.

During this whole stuff, everyone were thinking about themself.. I mean pandavas about them, brothers, mom, kingdom and family. Not about her?

How on earth can a women marry 5 brothers?

I was so much moved during her marriage and again when Arjun comes to Indraprast with his new wife subadra.

Can anyone imagine what she would have underwent. Yes during those days, Kings used to marry many due to political reasons. But this case is different.

I didnt sleep for a coupelof days thinking about real Draupdai, her life and all the pain she had to takeBut, in this serial, I like the chemistry between Arjun and Draupadi. Their eyes speak tons and just love to watch it.
