So if Yudisthir is gonna take the side of his adharmi cousins just b'cos 'they were his brothers', he deserved to be called 'adharmi'

that's the problem I have with yudi.though upto some point I do understand his actions but don't agree to it. leaving a family member in trouble though knowing u can help him or her would not b called righteousness. and neither was such yudi nature. yep I would have left them to rot but then I would not b able to face my so called righteous attitude because somewhere deep inside I would b knowing I have let my revenge take over me

@ Vrish, LASTLY, I really want to know what you think about the following. Why do you think Draupadi asked Dhritrashtra to free all her husbands even though they didn't stand by her or try and save her? Why didn't she just leave them and go to Panchal to her father? Why did she chose to stand by them and go to the exile with them? I mean she was so badly insulted and humiliated and she was wild at her husbands so why did she not just leave them. I know she made sure she reminded them of her insult every day till justice was brought to her, but she really didn't have to face all the hurdles with them. In your words, she shouldn't have given a rat's rear, so why did she?

This one is easy - she did that to deepen their sense of guilt. You seem to think that Draupadi's relationship w/ her husbands == Yudisthir's relatioships w/ his cousins. They were not even close.

karna went to sayambar to win for himself not for friend and he was invited there so no justification to insult him

That's my point - his caste was well known, so he shouldn't have been invited. Dhrishtadyumna could have privately told him that he was welcome to watch the proceedings, but since Draupadi would only marry a kshatriya (no need to directly call him a suta even there), he wouldn't be allowed to actually participate.

Instead, Dhrishtadyumna did a roll call that included Karna in the list of participants. And his objective was having as big a list as possible.

Fine, why did she just not let them be slaves to the Kauravas? For what they've done, or NOT done in this case, they deserve to be slaves right? Not some royals who couldn't even protect their wife! So when the blind dude asked her what she wanted she shouldn't have freed those good for nothings! What was the use of such husbands who didn't do anything on the day she needed them the most? What guarantee did she have that by freeing them she'd have the opportunity to bind them in guilt and make them bring justice to her?

And who were not even close? The pandavas and the kauravas or Draupadi and her husbands?

This I agree to. He was called because he was the king of Ang and rejected because he was a Sut Putr. But one thing I never understood was why Karna was ashamed of his caste? Of his father's caste. He respected his father but not his profession. One can only feel insulted when they feel ashamed.

I think he was upset that he wasnt allowed to participate although he was capable of it.

The Pandavas & the Kauravas were enemies. Whereas Draupadi & her husbands did have the greatest of respect for each other.

He respected his father's profession just fine, just didn't think that it was the right one for him.

I agree w/ devashree - he was probably upset @ being disallowed from participating, despite being capable of it.
