Panchaali did not meet him, exept for doing the rituals necessary to bring in the new bride Subhadra inside. Arjuna met her in her chambers. It was his year with Panchaali at that time but Arjuna had decided to spend the year with both Panchaali and Subhadra. Which meant, Subhadra could have come had her share anytime. Panchaali did not have any objection or reaction. She knew that she was the one who had to spend one year with each of her husbands. Arjuna was not the one bound to do the same.</font>

<font color="#ff00cc" face="Comic Sans MS, Times, serif" size="2">Sabyasachi entered Panchaali's chambers and stood next to her near the window. Panchaali looked at him. He was standing side ways to her and the plants kept in the window covered half of his face. But Sabyasachi's eyes were clearly visible. But, his eyes did not say what Panchaali wanted them to say. Its not that she loved Arjuna the most although there were rumors all over the palace and no wonder in Hastinapur too as Duryodhana and Dussasana were excellent in bad-speaking Panchaali. But Panchaali did not LOVE Arjuna the most. She just believed Arjuna to be her first preference of husband. After all, Sabyasachi won her and Panchaali wanted him to deserve her. And ofcourse, Panchaali loved him. As Panchaali was deep in such thoughts Sabyasachi looked back at Panchaali. Their eyes met.</font>

<font color="#ff00cc" face="Comic Sans MS, Times, serif" size="2">"Are you uncomfortable?" Panchaali asked. Arjuna shrugged. "You are feeling uncomfortable. Not me." he smiled. Indeed yes. She was and she wanted to feel comfortable. "I do care, Panchaali." "I want to learn archery." Panchaali changed the topic. Sabyasachi gave her such a look that archery wasn't even a word related to him. "I don't like fighting you know. I dont like archery." Sabyasachi said with a careless grin. "Come on Sabyasachi. I am intelligent enough to know your tricks." Panchaali sarcastically looked away. Panchaali did not call Arjun as 'aarya' like she called her other husbands. Arjuna never bothered. "Its not that Panchaali. You get me wrong. I don't like fighting and that is why I fight. I excelled in it for the same reason. I love to challenge myself. My beloved Gandiva urges me." "You must have said the same to Subhadra." Panchaali said just to get a bit of pampering. "I am sharing this only with you." Arjuna said giving his winnig shot as if winning a bet. "And anyways, who am I to raise the dhanush..? You are the one who will change the phase of history. Right?" Panchaali looked at Arjuna. Panchaali's Sabyasachi he was. Sabyasachi did the same. Both laughed off together as if ending a duel. Sabyasachi held Panchaali close to him. Panchaali rested her head on his shoulder as she felt Sabyasachi's rough hands on her. Those were bruises due to archery. They hadn't slept all night. As they together saw the sun rise.. Panchaali still resting on her beloved Sabyasachi's shoulder closed her eyes and for the first time believed, yes she loved him the most.</font>

Sabyasachi and Panchaali (Story 3)

The palace gardens of Indraprastha was evergreen with beautiful flowers and fruits. The morning sunshine always reached Indraprastha first, and then to the other parts of the mighty Kuru Rashtra, including the capital Hastinapur. Among all the gardens the one facing east was the most beautiful one. Birds sang there every morning. At this garden, at the moment, Panchaali, the Queen of Indraprastha was seated on her beloved swing, which was specially made for the Queen. Along with her, was her current husband Sabyasachi, the ambidextrous warrior and Panchaali's most beloved.

"I miss those days before my swayamvar." said Panchaali. "Oh, so will be happy without me?" Sabyasachi laughed. "Very mean, princess!!!!" "Shut up." Panchaali said. "Make me feel happy. Cheer me up. I loved painting. But Queens haveother things to do here. I can't dance, sing and paint. " "I bet you cannot beat me in dance, music and art." Sabyasachi said and knelt down in front of Panchaali. "I challenge that." Sabysachi added and showed Panchaali a finger. "I can beat you." Panchaali proudly stood up. "I am ambidextrous, my princess." Sabyasachi bowed. "So? My love for you can beat anything. Even your Gandiv. If I remember you, I can beat you." Sabyasachi called for the maids and told them something in private. Panchaali tried to peep in but Sabyasachi was unbeatable in acting. Not some moments passed before the maids brought in some canvasses and a peacock feather with the flowers from with colours were used to paint. And also, the veena was brought in."

Sabyasachi brought the painting articles to Panchaali and smiled. "You paint, I play. Whoever will stop on seeing the other's skill will lose." Panchaali remained silent. A butterfly sat on the canvas. Panchaali's eyes sparkled. "I am ready. I accept." Sabyasachi prepared to play the veena while Panchaali picked up the peacock feather and closed her eyes. She could see Sabyasachi. Closer..his face and even closer..."his eyes". Panchaali opened her eyes and started painting with the tunes of the veena.
Red... the veena tunes went pleasantly... and green and tunes of the veena chorused... and the peacock feather went pink... and grey... and blue... and white... along with the soul-pleasing tunes went up and down and chorus and solo... went...went...went...until Panchaali mysteriously turned the canvas from sideways to frontways in front of Sabyasachi as the kept smudging the colours with her fingernails. Sabyasachi took a glance at the painting and turned away only to look back within the same moment. The veena stopped. Sabyasachi looked at the painting. He felt divine and the happiest. Panchaali stared at Sabyasachi as his white cloak moved here and there and so did her saree. Now what is left to the story is the painting. It..showed... nothing special. Only..Panchaali the beautiful princess and queen sitting on her swing and the ambidextrous warrior pushing the swing along...Sometimes small things could give immense happiness.

brish u did a commendable job 👏 This 1 is so pleasant n sweet 😃

i am a little behind and have to read the continuations...

am loving that you have written more...brilliant effort...

and i agree writing sahdev must be very dif...as it is the twins get very less focus..bt somehow i think its easier to picture nakul who has a bit lighter persona...with sahdev and his gravitas it must indeed be difficult to add romance...

bt you are doing a great job... awesome...😊

Nakul and Panchaali (Story 3)

Panchaali always had the time of her life in Nakul's year. Sarees, jewellery, colours anything related to beauty and animals was in full stock with Nakul. But today was not the same. It was a cloudy morning and Panchaali was upset as she had just given birth to Nakul's son and he hadn't gifted Panchaali any essence for her beauty yet. Besides that, Panchaali did not like cloudy days. They made her feel trapped. Panchaali was looking out of the window with a grumpy face when she heard horse hooves descending towards the palace gates. Panchaali would run towards the entrance of her chambers fast but she didn't this time. She had to show her anger towards Nakul so that he gets her the essence! Panchaali was great in tricking.

Nakul entered the chamber as much as silently he could but bumped into the flower vase kept near the doorway. Panchaali turned and had a look at Nakul and looked in front again. "Panchaali," said Nakul. " Didn't you have a great time with your beloved deer..they are more dear to you than me." Panchaali said childishly. "They were asking for you. They said you smelled good. They remembered you from the time you visited them with me." Nakul tried to cheer her up in vain. A naughty smile came visible on his face. "It seems like you are not interested,?" Nakul was still smiling. "No. I am not." Panchaali said without turning towards him. "Okay. Then I better give these sarees to the villagers coming tomorrow." Nakul turned around to leave when Panchaali turned back and stopped him. "Wait aarya!" Nakul listened to Panchaali and stopped. Panchaali ran towards Nakul and caught hold of his hand. "I knew you would bring me something." Panchaali said still hoping for her essence. "Nakul took out the saree which he hid behind himself, while speaking and gave it to Panchaali. Panchaali did not have a look. She closed her eyes and smelled it. It smelled of musk. Musk is a certain kind of liquid found in Kasturi deer and is considered as precious as diamonds. Panchaali opened her eyes slowly and had a look at the stunning and gorgeous saree. It was pink in colour and had silver stars and each end. Panchaali was immensely happy but she was still hoping some essence.
Nakul knew this. "I have something else for you too.Come." Nakul brought Panchaali in front of the window. "Close your eyes and wait patiently." Panchaali did as directed as Nakul stood next to her with his hand on her shoulder.

The first drop of water fell on Panchaali's cheek and both Nakul and Panchaali held out their hands as silent drops of sparkling water fell on their hands. Nakul ran somewhere and came back with a vase. He collected the rain water. Panchaali looked at him. 'For your essence. You have smelled sea water essence but this time, you and our son will experience water essence. Panchaali and Nakul both laughed as Nakul saw a flash of seven colours on Panchaal's eyes. he looked out. "See see, Panchaali," said Nakul. "A rainbow!!!!!" There was silence in the room. Silence of beauty. When finally Panchaali said,"I always wanted to see a rainbow Aarya!" "Why didn't you tell me?" Nakul asked. "I did not want to demand so much." Panchaali seemed proud of her decision. "That is what your head told you. What about the heart?" Nakul whispered. "My heart had the desire to see the rainbow!" said Panchaali as she held her saree close to her heart. "When there is confusion between the heart and the head," said nakul. 'Always listen to the heart, Panchaali." Nakul said and looked back at the rainbow while Panchaali enjoyed the sparkle of rainbow on Nakul's eyes.
