Yudhishtir and Panchaali
It was the day before The Pandavas and Queen Panchaali was to leave for Hastinapur. They had received an invitation from Duryodhana (although it had the stamp of the Hastinapur royal palace showing approval of the blind king Dhritarashtra) Yudhishtir knew that it was actually Duryodhana and Shakuni who invited them. But he was hesitant. He knew of his terrible love for this dice game but on the other hand he knew, or he discovered this through Panchaali that he really did not mastered it. Yudhishtir decided to talk to Panchaali, who currently was in his year. Yudhishtir knew Panchaali's whereabouts and thus, he went to the balcony of his huge magical palace, Indraprastha which was also Panchaali's favourite place of the palace. there she was with her maids. One of them braided her hair as she spoke "My husband is not fond of the sea-essence. Please bring the lotus one." Within a moment, Panchaali looked back and understood that Yudhishtir needed guidance. Yes, that ws how she saw it. She knew Yudhishtir's facade of righteousness would only work when that peace was in his mind. But we needed to hunt for peace.
Panchaali told the maids to leave and not to forget her lotus essence. "You played yesterday." she said. "How do you know?" Yudhishtir asked although he understood that it was the marks in his hands which spoke." But asking how she knows would make his wife, the beautiful Yajnaseni happy. It worked too. Panchaali explained with a smile that it were the marks indeed.
"Should I do it?" Yudhishtir spoke in his confused voice. "What if I say no? It will not change you." Panchaali smiled." I have come to you to seek your advice Panchaali."
"I know aarya. And I want to ask you if your mind told you to do so or YOU thought of coming. If your mind told you, you better not go to the arrogant Duryodhana. As i know that your addiction takes over your mind. So, your mind dont work at times As you should never let your addiction control you. But if you know that you can have control over your addiction and you are too eager to show them that you are right, you should go. But let not the facade be yourself. You know what I am talking of. Your facade of a calm and composed King."
Yudhishtir was about to answer when a young maid of Panchaali's entered the balcony came running to her with some colourful petals. "princess," she said, " My friend tells me that if I give my petals to her she would give me her dolls. What should I do princess?" Panchaali held the petals in her hands. "You can only control these petals as your own if you love them. And never trust love to someone else's hands. The results are terrible. Now you can decide yourself. Fine?" Panchaali looked at Yudhishtir. Her expression said that she consented to his decision. And she believed her advice would have a role to play.
(the petal thingy in my story is just a made up thingy. Panchali is not like Krishna here.😆😆😆 she didn't know what was to happen!)
