In today's world we cannot refuse to hire someone for a multitude of reasons including cast, creed, gender etc. But, we can refuse to marry them on those basis. Because marriage is a choice based on one's own assessment, values, preferences, etc. So, even by today's standards Draupadi had every right to reject Karna on the basis of any & every criteria... helmet hair, not hair enough, his daddy's a charioteer, his eyes aren't the right color, he worships the sun, he is friends with Dury, blah blah blah blah.
By the same token Karna even now... defintely now one cannot classify as a courtesan/etc. any woman for being in a committed relationship with five guys. If anything in kali yug that might make her an innocent🤣
In sum, I DISAGREE that D insulted K. She refused him because he wasn't the cast she wanted to marry into. How is that an insult? 😕 Will I cry if some calls me a brahmin and refuses to marry me?! I might think the person has wierd priorities/thinking and rejected me for silly reason, but that is their personal freedom. I won't take that as an insult.
