In this particular incident karan was wrong no doubt i wish Cv's would have shown his character like this but in any case that's not going to happen

I am glad that this forum has people like u, who treat the characters from a neutral point of view...
The Facebook pages on Mahabharat are war zones, where some blind Karna fans, most of whom have not read, even a single translation of Mahabharat, but have read only books like "Mrityunjay' n 'Karna's Wife', try to prove how Draupadi "deserved" to get disrobed since she "insulted" Karna.
It's disgusting that these people condemn Draupadi's "Sutaputra" comment as "adharm" n as a BIG CRIME, but treat Karna's actions at Draupadi's vastraharan as justified revenge.
I am a Karna fan too, but what is WRONG is WRONG.

@Amritat...Even if Draupadi rejected Karna at the swyamvar and called him a 'sootputra' he had no right to call her a wh*re or incite Duri into disrobing her. For me Karna is not doodh ka dhula as people make him out to be. He was also a very insecure man with a ego. He has a lot of good qualities but he's no angel. In fact, no one in MB is an angel. Everyone is flawed...and human

@Bheegi I agree! But the biggest idiot out of everyone that I get angry on is Maharaj Dritharastha who is sitting in the throne! Talk about being Blind from all directions! He is just irritating to me!

Yes indeed! Dhritarashtra was literally and metaphorically blind. He is a lesson in parenting- never be blind to your own kids' faults. Gandhari was even more foolish as she chose to be blind.

As they say, Ramayana teaches you what to do in life and MB teaches you what NOT to do in life. Every character in MB teaches us something we shouldn't do.

The thing about Karna is that that he always guessed that he was a Kshatriya by birth but the fact that he was cast off at birth made him dread that he may have been an illegitimate child whose mother preferred to dispose off the evidence, which was he himself. This ugly truth haunted him all his life and made him unforgivably bitter against anyone who mocked his birth to bar him from what he believed to be rightfully his and at the same time unquestionably loyal to anyone who honoured him without asking of his birth.

In ⭐️Bharat's dice game/vastraharan saga, I wonder how many people will ACTUALLY be shown to be guilty in the end?
1. Duri has got the vastraharan planned beforehand. Also, Shakuni has been speaking about taking IP away from the Pandavas right from the time Khandavaprastha was given to them...

2. Dushi for dragging Drau in the assembly with her hair and the vastraharan per se

3. What about a certain Maharathi Karna?

4. Pandavas will do massive rona-dhona post-vastraharan and even Yudi speaks up stating what happened was wrong 😲- And after that, the CVs will make the viewers completely forget that Yudi did indeed stake Drau and the Pandavas themselves were ACTUALLY mute witnesses to her humiliation.
I just hope that Drau (for her own sake) does NOT forget that her hubbies did share a certain amount of guilt in the whole fiasco, no matter how many tears they shed for her plight...
I mean, in that Malayalam promo, she gives a nice tongue-lashing to her hubbies for not protecting her. And now, the Pandavas will be "absolved" of their 'guilt' by making them seem remorseful, regretful, and whatnot after the vastraharan...
⭐️Bharat ke CVs aisa bhi dikha sakte hain ki Drau ne apne patiyon ko kshama kar diya kyunki ve sab uske liye aansoo bahaa rahe the...🤢 - ANYTHING can happen, this is ⭐️Bharat.
And, after the vastraharan and the subsequent Pandava rona-dhona (in which ⭐️Yudi himself voices his disappointment at the events that took place), I wonder how the CVs will then justify Yudi actually accepting the invitation for the repeat dice game...this is ⭐️Bharat, so, it WILL be justified by some reasoning or the other. And the repeat dice game HAS to take place - otherwise how else will the Pandavas get exiled??

5. ⭐️Bharat has forgotten about Maharaj Dhrit's role in the whole saga

6. For some reason, ⭐️Drona has come back to the HP assembly after disappearing for so long...he HAS to be present, otherwise, one entire Parva during Kurukshetra will disappear!! 😆

7. When the Pandavas were in the process of obtaining Khandavaprastha, Mahamahim Bhishma had given a (fictional) oath that he will forever be a yes-man to Dhrit. CVs could use THIS reasoning to "excuse" Bhishma's silence during the entire saga. As per CVs, he actually gave that oath so that the Pandavas could get their own kingdom, so technically speaking, as per CVs, Mahamahim did a sacrifice of sorts for the Pandava cause.
Too bad Vaasudev Krishna will not accept this excuse...

Yudhisthir always saw only good in every one around him. He genuinely felt Dury was his younger brothers. He always had the same affection to Dury as towards other Pandavas. This is clearly seen in Gosha Yatra parva during their 13 years exile.

He staked his brothers and wife thinking it is his own family but never even in his wild imaginations did he think Dury has so much grudge and go to extend of insulting Kula Vadhu.
Poor imagination though😭

When Yudi has opportunity to ask for Mrityudand after Lakshya gruha or order it during Raja Suya, Yudi spared Dury thing he is his own brother.

Character is what when you do in power. That is all the difference.
Yudi follows Dharma during extreme situations despite of insults from his own brothers and Wife.
Dury follows ADharma when in power.

Even if Draupadi was a Dasi , the insult he does to a woman is not justifiable.
Pandavas needs no white washing.
As Kauravas doing the most adharma here

A woman of whatever low birth or occupation in whatever circumstances or past grudges cannot be insulted.

That is why world remembers Dury as Adharmi and Yudhi as Dharmaraja

Also in any family, you can find situations where some one is weak and can be vulnerable. This is the time when family should be with them

Pandavas knows value of family i.e why they stick together. They never left their Jyesht in his most vulnerable moment.

In Vyaasa MB, Draupadi's vastra is given by Dharma.
Yudi is Dharma So, he also might be the one who gave Vastra to her.

Dhrit turns blind eye to the event i.e Why he suffers hearing of all his 100 sons and all his grandsons death and still lives on

Shakuni himself mentions many time he has special knowledge of this game and skills so may be he knew how to get the correct number etc and he used this skill unfairly to take away yudi's kingdom

this can be compared to lagaan situation where Britisher's highly skilled in cricket challenge poor villagers who arent' skilled at it with intention of stealing their lands.Which is unfair

But my question still remains that as per the epic yudi was very well aware about all this?so why did he continue playing why didnt he stop in between it was clear he never had any chance of winning?after playing a few stakes why didn't he leave?or is leaving also against some dharam

Like some have posted before, I think Yudi's behaviour can be attributed to gambler's dilemma, he somehow convinced himself that he'll win back his lost wealth at the next throw of dice and the Kshatriya code of conduct (not sure). He had also vowed not to disobey his elders to avoid conflict, when he came to know about prophecies of an approaching war. I guess that was a part of his reason for accepting the dice game invitation in the first place.
